His touch made all of her attention fall on him, and she let his words sink in before she responded with a thing. In a way, his ability to never truly die on her, resonated with her in a truly romantic way since she knew so much loss of her loved ones, but this want for him to stop dying was also present. “I don’t want you to turn into a renegade,” she mused, a hint of playfulness in her voice. “I also don’t want to be the reason that you get hurt. So many people in my life had died on me–sacrificed themselves for me. Can I promise to TRY to be better and include you, or will I get a Yoda’d?” 

Things with Penelope hadn’t been the easiest at first of course, but Hope had found that they had a little more in common than either of them would admit out loud. Talking to her came NATURALLY, and she laughed a little at Penelope’s reaction. “I mean, I tasted it a little as I was going, but someone besides me had to try it. You’re welcome.”
