I’m figuring out breathing animations. They aren’t as hard as I thought

Recently a research group started a project to define the most effective horror movie on a scientific base. They took many volunteers and by measuring their heart rate while watching different movies they were able to define a chart of the most scary film. For the 2022 the winner was “Host” (2020) with a maximum recorded of 130 bpm and an average of 88 bpm along the whole movie followed by “Sinister” (2012) with the same maximum but a slower average of 86 bpm along the movie. “Insidious” (2010), with the best maximum of 133 bpm but 85 bpm along the movie is at the third place. While I don’t completely agree with the method used I have to say that I really like the idea to define a classification of the most effective horror movie, novel, videogame based on the measurement of the cardiovascular system functions while watching, reading, playing and I hope it will be further implemented in the future.

in the animation a subject is tested while watching a recently released horror movie. Inside of the tv screen there’s a camera pointed at the subject which is able to detec its heart rate and emotions. To further verify the obtained data, different electrodes of a classical ecg device are placed on the subject’s chest.
