Unable to resist the urge to misbehave, the God snickers lightly as he flicks a slender finger towards the raven-haired male’s direction. Seconds later, those whisker-like birthmarks shift into real, actual cat-whiskers; sprouting from the boy’s cheeks.

    There is an unpleasant tickle upon Menma’s cheeks after the other male’s finger was pointed at him, nose crinkling from the sensation and dark brows furrowed. It took him quite some time to register it, but the whiskers on his face felt longer, fuller, and the moment his fingertips brushed over his face, those whiskered birthmarks were gone and now resembling that of a cat’s. 

    He was not sure whether to be pissed or take light into the situation----no matter, when did anything ever phase Menma, anyway? “At least I can sense everything better now.” He’d remark in a shrug, clearly indicating his attempt at making Menma angry failed miserably. At this point he can only make ‘light’ of the situation, but in his own sarcastic ways.

    Amusement would become evident upon Menma’s expression with the way his lips curved into that trademark smirk from the inquiry at hand, head shaking before a few chuckles escaped under his breath. “Gullible as ever, I see~” The two twin’s may have shared similar appearances and personalities, but deep down he noticed this twin was far more gullible than him -- perhaps it’s what simply made their bond so well-matched and close into what it is today. 

     “You must be an idiot if you think I didn’t buy you anything, pft.” He’d offer his doppelgänger a light nudge to the shoulder, reaching into his pocket until a neatly wrapped box became set in view. The box in his hands contained a specialty made Kunai, created by Menma himself with the inscription ‘for my favorite idiot’ engraved onto the blade. There is also a few boxes of pocky inside, knowing fully well he would love that add-on given his twin’s sweet-tooth. The gift alone was expensive, but that did not matter -- money was never an issue when it came to making him feel appreciated. 

             “Whose over there? I can smell you so come out already--” 

“Dead?”

The voice finishes it for him, with the same tone as before, mocking him for his weakness. Laughter soon echoes through the forest, trees and leaves seem to shake under the pressure of whatever the thing is, rustle sound is all around Menma, and yet, there is no sign of the source. The atmosphere soon becomes lower, heavier, sends chill down to people’s spine, to bring fear out of them, to remind them about the darkness, the monster inside them.

Human, So greedy, and yet, so pitiful. Long for things they never could gain, and fear what they can’t understand.

Ah, indeed, Madara understands all of it, after all, he once in Menma’s shoes, except, he doesn’t allow them to treat him like that. He knows his worth, his abilities, what is he capable of, and them, they are just trash. Lips presses into a thin line, the Uchiha lower himself until he is right in front of Menma, still invisible, but this time, he allows the Uzumaki to feel his existence.

“Tell me, is this what you want? Allow them to step over you like you are nothing? Are you going to kill yourself because you are such a coward? Are you going to prove that they are right? That you are just a weak little monster in human form, who they can finish off so easily?”

Harsh, almost like a sneer, but none of it is a lie, Madara awares of what those people have in mind. Oh if only Hashirama is here to see how Konoha has fallen, to see how those people have change over time. Madara is right, he has always been right, and his childhood friend is just so innocent to see it.

Fear - something so familiar. They fear him, yet, they worship Hashirama, even though both of them are the same, powerful, deadly. But just as they prefer Hashirama than Madara, those fool also believe the Senju is better, forget that it takes both Senju and Uchiha to found Konoha… Peace, he wants it as much as Hashirama wants, even tries to let go of his own grief, and yet… Yet….

He could never accept how they treat him, how they betray him, and now, he is going to make everything different. A world where Izuna still alive, a world where peace is truly there, even if he has to burn this one down to ash and rebuild it himself. Insane? No, he just simply erase the line between genius and insanity.

  A series of shudders would course down Menma’s spine the very moment that word was whispered. . a word he is all too familiar with but has not come to terms with since this mishap between the unknown entity and himself. For a good portion of his life he has attempted to ‘nit-pick’ what is truly inside of his mind--the trials and tribulations from his upbringing, the good outcomes including the bad. In a sense these recurring thoughts were like that of a broken record, replaying over in his headspace day by day, no outlet or means of controlling such---he is lost at both mind and heart, truly; even more-so due to this source twisting his judgement for the worst--this is only enabling these thoughts even more. 

  “Shut up---” There is a hint of terror lingering through his words, though he managed to gain his composure when he shook off those stubborn thoughts--an elongated sigh expelling from his lips before he continued. “You don’t know anything about me, I’m not a damn tool---and I know exactly what you’re trying to get out of me and who you are.” It took the dark fox quite some time to fully register what or who this anomaly is, but once these words became more articulate -- there was no question in his mind.. it is him. To say he is not a tool to him, being Madara. . would be an understatement. Since coming across the elder Uchiha in his tracks, Menma became fully invested in allowing him to take control of his spirit, body, and soul -- a way for him to simply gain potential and new abilities during times of battle as risky the whole circumstance may end up.

    The simple gesture alone would bring a flutter to Menma’s heart, it is not often where someone went out of their way to offer anything along the lines of flowers for him. . though convenient enough he pleasingly holds a liking towards them. The floral essence emitting, soft, velvet-like petals under his touch. . there is a certain serenity he takes solace in when plants are present around him—he appreciated the kind act; truly. With a faint dusting of crimson gracing his cheekbones, he’d extend a hand to take hold of the flower assortment–laying against the crook of his arm and calloused fingers grazing lightly along the petals.

Favorite Food:  Spicy curry soup! By far Menma absolutely loves any foods along the lines of spicy, he will indulge on sweets at times but not often. . if it is offered to him as a gift from a companion, he will accept the dessert and eat it anyway. 

Favorite Drink:  Oolong tea, red wine. Teas are therapeutic for Menma, he finds relaxation and ease in the properties tea leaves bring along. For muscle pain, headaches, anything going on with himself he will aid himself with teas. 

Favorite Hobby:  Canon! Menma: Exploring through nature -- due to it essentially being his only place of home, it is simply all he knows. Though it has never bothered him the slightest, he is not afraid to admit his location and current living conditions. Modern!Menma: Enjoys reading, he finds enjoyment in the information any books regarding science provides, since that is his field of study and a department he works in, that is. 

Favorite Scent:  Mahogany, oak wood, floral scents, the smell when you blow a candle out, the smell of a person who just freshly showered -  clean scents as well.

1. He loves getting his whiskers pet, it is one of the many weaknesses he has that will just make him... literally purr and quiver all over the place.

2. Menma actually loves flowers, the soft feeling of the petals under his touch. . the smell it emits, it is a beautiful thing in his eyes.

3. He is an affectionate person deep down, he craves physical contact - but only when he forms a bond with the other party. There must be some connection / similarity or he will just swat their hand away if they try to touch him haa

4. He carries around a specialty kunai knife made by his father, Minato. Since childhood it has been a gift offered to him that he always keeps close, even during times of battle. Although he may hold a slight anger towards his father, because of his parents having him carry the burden of the dark fox spirit... deep down in his good of hearts he loves him; truly.

5. As a child Menma was always the type of child to be shut out by others, alone in his own company. . nobody to play with during recess. Funny enough, to be petty he would oil up the slides and swing sets so the kids fall off for being rude to him 

6. He carries many emotions of fear, dismay, and indifference -- the entire mixture basically makes Menma manic and so, as a way to cope with it he chooses to display cocky attitudes upon others, also in turn uses depressants and such for him to simply ‘forget’. 

7. Menma loves painting his nails. Only dark colors, however. . such as black, dark purple, maroon, deep red.  

8. Due to Madara having able to possess Menma, he carries the sharingan in his left iris -- whenever it is needed during times of battle he will awaken it thanks to Madara and him essentially being connected.  

9. Menma is a huge introvert, he usually attempts to avoid conversation due to the fact that for a good majority of his life, he has been shut out by the eyes of many. . leaving him lonely and less hopeful than he should be.

What do you find different (or distinct) about your portrayal?: That he is not the monster most villagers deem himself as, deep down in his character putting aside his attitude and hostile behaviors, there is a man who will truly care for the right person whenever they would come along. Whether it being a friend or a relationship, he cares if it means he is close with someone and can relate with.
