View sucked. Company sucked. Boredom sucked. Space, just as Rick had been trying to tell Space core, sucked. Zero-gravity was entertaining for all of⌠never and hearing Space and Wheatley babble for eternity was NOT how Rick planned on going out. He could see Earth from here; his green optic narrowed on his goal. Yeah no, if he had a choice, heâd go out in a goddamn blaze of fire. Thatâs what a true adventurer deserved; not to die a slow death of boredom and annoyance.Â
He was no geeky scientist, so figuring out how to make a crash landing might⌠Woah, suddenly he was going a shitton faster than he remembered.Â
âAw fuck yeah!â he yelled, when he realized he had just accomplished on accident what he was just trying to plan out.Â
He was quickly gaining a LOT of speed VERY fast, and it looked like there was a lot of fire starting in the air around him. With a mighty yell, he hit the earth, making a large crater around him. When the dust settled, his optic was almost closed and it was flickering quickly, threatening to go out. He could feel heat damage and dents all around him.
âThaâs⌠thâway⌠tâgo,â he gasped with simulated breath and began to shut down.
It had been a week. A miserable week full of many new experiences. This experience, like the others, Chell had NOT been expecting at all. She had been trying to get the knots out of her hair with her fingers for the past hour, while sitting on the companion cube. She looked like a mess, however, because of the rain earlier on the week, the kindhearted young woman didn't look as quite of a mess.
On this clear sunny day, Chell was started by something coming from the sky and almost shaking the whole area as it crashed to earth. She jumped off her best friend and looked around.
What was that? Chell saw that the thing had plummeted to earth a little off in the distance. She could go over there and check it out. GLaDOS had told her to go make some new disaster. What if this could be that thing? What if she showed the disaster to GLaDOS? It might be her ticket to getting back in.
The brunette looked at the cube and motioned for it to stay there. It didn't respond back, so she smiled. At least it was paying attention to her and obeying. She started running towards the area the object crashed, about seven miles away.
She was a bit out of breath when she finally got to the object, but she attempted to pick it up, only to toss it back on the ground from her hands being burnt. She then blinked, kneeling down to the extremely hot metal ball.
Wait, wasn't this a core that I put on Wheatley? Chell blinked, looking extremely confused. Wait, didn't... Weren't they in space?
She looked around for a way to turn it around without hurting herself. She then realized she could nudge it with her longfall boot and have it turn so she could see which one it was. As she did this, she saw it's green optic trying to fade out.
