Hello there! Sorry about the confusion! Basically what happened was that the original event blog (@ladybugsevents) got deleted and there was still half a page’s worth of people to be assigned. I started this as a secondary event blog for those who didn’t get their assignments before the blog was deleted and for people who didn’t get a chance to sign up in time!

If you were previously assigned, please stick with that assignment! I’m not 100% sure, but I seem to recall the original mod trying to keep things within groups of 3s, which is what I tried to do. If all goes well, then the ones who were assigned before the blog deleted will all get gifts. I don’t know how the old mod chose the order to distribute assignments though, so there’s a high chance that there’ll be people who don’t get gifts even though they themselves made a gift for someone else. For that reason, I made a google form to collect a list of people willing to make another gift and how fast they could do it.

I’m sorry you didn’t get an application, but I’d like to address a few things. The original mod of the event, ladybugsevents, had their account deleted by someone they had given the account details to. There was still half a page’s worth of people who didn’t get their assignment list when this happened. I made this blog and set up a secondary event for people who both missed the event the first time and still wanted to participate, as well as those who saw my posts and wanted to join in while they still could with me pairing them up. 

If you didn’t know about my secondary event until it was too late, I’m sorry but I’ve made several posts about this and did the best I could with a time crunch for people to work on gifts as well as my own finals. I dropped out of the event myself to organize this.

Considering that you’ve directed this towards my blog, where I’ve made several posts regarding updates whenever I could, I’m honestly not sure why I’m even getting this ask.

If you were part of my secondary event and I missed you, I’m extremely sorry about that, however I would like to note that I made a post about finishing assignment details and for anyone who still didn’t get one to message me asap.

You’ve pointed out yourself that it’s too late by this time, so I’m not quite sure why you waited until now to tell me. I am well aware that there may be people who got assignments but end up with no gift themselves because I have no way of confirming the original mod’s list, which is also why I requested for volunteers who could do a back up, of which many have graciously offered. I’ve already had to request back up gifts from people who have respectfully informed me that they are no longer able to participate in the event.

I understand that it’s not your fault you didn’t get an assignment in time. What I don’t understand is why you felt the need to leave this (in my opinion) incredibly rude, passive-aggressive, and disrespectful ask for me. Everyone got screwed over when the blog went down, but we’ve all been trying our hardest to make the best of what we got.

Although the original post has been deleted along with the blog, from what I was able to gleam from google search and my very sad memory, gifts are to be given on December 22nd. Tag your giftee with an @ as well as the #miraculouspresents2k15 tag so everyone else can also see what you did!

Another question I’ve been getting is if you can talk to your giftee (via anon of course) and I’m not the original mod or rul maker but there’s nothing wrong with that! In fact I’ve seen a lot of people already do this and it’ll probably make for a better gift!
