Was Erik thrilled that every one of Charles’ pets were starting to swarm the place? Absolutely not. Was Erik going to say anything to them. Nope and only because the telepath was standing between, otherwise Erik would have escorted them out a long time ago. So most days he resorted to brooding in his study where he made sure no one could bother him. He felt her before she made her way to his door.
The slight cool press of her conscious reaching his. It’s kind of interesting how every telepath have a different presence. Charles was gentle and warm, Emma cool and sly, Madelyne a bit sharp and hot, but none of it was unpleasant. Unless they made it that way. As Emma makes her way to him Erik gets up from his desk and decides to make a drink for the both of them. Made himself a bourbon and her a glass of rum.
“I need more than a distraction.” He says as she walks into his office, as confident as ever. “Drink?” He asks, holding the glass out to her. “What’s been going on with you?”
Emma saunters over and takes the glass from Erik’s hand and immediately takes a sip from it. She hums as the liquid makes its way down her throat and she smiles at the other man softly. “Rum. You actually managed to remember.” She says in a light teasing tone. Though it was a surprise to her. These days Erik hardly remembered anything that didn’t pertain to Charles or Genosha. Then again, that is also what’s been on her own plate, for different reasons of course.
She sits in the seat in front of Erik’s desk, glancing up at the man as she crosses one leg over the other. The train her white dress flowing elegantly around her on the ground. “More than a distraction? Is there anyway I can help?” She asks and takes another swig of her rum, fingers tapping against the glass lightly when she’s done. “Oh you know, I’ve been helping Jean with Charles. He seems to be struggling to maintain the new body he’s in.”
