They get quieter sometimes. If I sleep a bit… but I always have nightmares, and those are worse, so it’s better to just deal with the ghosts…

*He starts to follow, then yelps in surprise and sudden fear at the sight of fire. He stumbles and stops, grabbing the wall so as not to fall down. Air seems to deny him breath and his legs threaten to fail him.*
Pyro immediately pauses, hurrying back to the siren and supporting him gently,
Woah, woah, easy there. What’s wrong?
I- I’m, I’m sorry- I-
Fire… I- Sorry, I really don’t like fire…
I’m… *He whimpers quietly. His legs shake and threaten to buckle as his breath comes in quick, flighty gasps.*
Gods, I’m so sorry. Here, just sit down for a moment. Take some deep breaths, it’s alright. I won’t do that again, not around you.
Pyro assures him, pushing the siren to the floor gently and kneeling as well.
*He forces air into and out of his lungs shakily.*

About leaving them? No. I did that of my own free will. More…returning home. I’ve heard there’s corruption near my village, that they thought I’d just abandoned them to face the winter alone. And I did.
I guess what I’m afraid of is…what I’ll eventually return to. If there’ll even be anybody left to forgive me. To carry my story.
