There's really only one record I truly adore. If the world ends next year, I would only wish for it to spin one final rotation. The next twenty four hours would be full of violence and anxiety, but it would be far from ugly. Cars crash. Maps create new patches of land and water. Hearts break from cellphone conversations. Paper cuts skins. Organs failing before dreams do. Death creeps with the grace of an ice cream truck.

If the world ends next year, the Earth will swallow itself in a beautiful and elegant albeit quirky fashion. We'll all plunge into anarchy, every bit of soul struggling to find escape in different ways, different forms with nothing but our own religions keeping us company. By the end of it, everyone would've gone crazy. Every last one piece of furniture of a man will be insane, and that is exactly what Decomposer makes me feel. Everything just feels so out of place, and I have never felt more in sync in my entire life. There has never been a record that has perfectly spoken how I really feel than what the Matches did on their sophomore album.

I'll admit I didn't portray the landscape enough to justify the art, but describing that overwhelming feeling when I listen to this eccentric perfection is pretty difficult. I say let the ears do its job.
