Meet Lemonshade. She is the young leader of Treeclan.

Born into Ridgeclan, she spent her early life being taught the concepts of fate and destiny and, while she had a good life with a loving clan, she was taught that her entire life was already laid out for her and she was to follow it. Everything she’d do, everything she’d be, it was all as sure as her breath.

That was until a strange cat from some territory far away appeared to her clan one day, claiming to carry a prophecy that she specifically was a key part of; To rebuild the lost Treeclan and cement its place in the mountain pines. Lemonshade’s clan, already followers in prophecy and destiny, urged her to embark on the quest, claiming that this was what she was meant to do all along. She saw little reason to stay when such a great responsibility was bestowed upon her.

So she left her home, walking blind into the wild with nothing more than directions to her new home for the cat who had brought her the prophecy had left as quickly and mysteriously as they appeared. For a short time, she was on her own, traveling by day, catching what small prey she could and sleeping in trunks, burrows, shrubs and logs.

But she wouldn’t be alone forever. She would meet five other young cats on her journey, all of them joining her quest - to see new things, to find new thrills, to leave behind monotony, to prove themselves - and it would be together that they finally reached the mountain pines that they would call their new home. Lemonshade could fulfill her destiny, she could bring back this lost clan, honor its memory, do everything right.

She would share the land with five other larger groups; Jungleclan: mighty and relentless, Ruinclan: swift and secretive, The Cats of Lost Lake (Tideclan): traditional and cold, The Sun Warriors: a small but powerful and ancient, god-like group in the territories that led reigned through their prophetic abilities and fearful, intimidating presence, and finally,

The Tribe of Falling Snow: …

However, the memory of Treeclan was a sour one in the territories and the other clans were not keen on sharing, despite there being ample space and plenty of resources to go around. The excess land didn’t belong to them, but they didn’t want Treeclan to have it, each group crafting their own reasons why.

Suddenly, Lemonshade found herself and her new friends and clan to be the common enemy to cats she’d never even met before, committing sins she didn’t commit. Everyone saw something, everyone heard the rumors. She was stealing food, stealing land, plotting to overthrow the lives of everyone else, scheming to destroy the entire forest and claim the mountain. But…there she sat in the deep pines only helping her friends make their new dens.

Whatever destiny she was told, whatever fate she had believed she held, it would see her dead if she followed it. And, waking up from the idealic dream of what her new life could be, she found herself in a vast and dark reality, the lives of five others now in her paws, that her own destiny is actually more up to her than she once thought.

I think I’m going to finally start sharing my art. I don’t know what all I should write here but here’s my lad, Hickorystar. This is an OC from my long running Warrior Cats fan story which I hope to share more about here :D.
