currently on the bathroom floor durig a flareup. one of my mom's drunk friends is crying abd puking in the bathtub. my hrt rate is so high my pulse ox is confused. the party is so loud i want to cryyy. i would literrlly give all the cash in my wallet to the first person who could come get me out of here.
I really think you should go to the ER, I'll let someone know and we'll send someone to get you okay ? Also I'm still at the hospital so I can come to be with you okay ?
I could be that 'someone', if that is alright with both of you. I'm still in the car, so it wouldn't be a problem for me to come pick you up, Kyrie.
ooc: I'm scared it won't work, okay? @kyriegrace (sorry)
that actually sounds great. thank you both.
ooc: sorry for the late response I was driving!
I should be by your house in ten minutes, then.

(long post ahead)
i need to get drunk.
Would you like to do it at my house, and for me to drive you home after? I could even ask my daughter to be with you instead of me, since I'd assume it would be easier to get drunk with someone your age
oh you’re the sweetest !! i think i’m going to my friend charlie’s tonight !! but thank you so much, that’s genuinely so sweet of you !!
Of course, have fun, and be safe. Please, let me know, if you still needed me to drive you home, so that neither of you would drive while drunk.

Hello, Fiadh.
If you are in need of some refreshment, I have multiple bottles of cold, and room temperature water with me. I could bring you some in case the answer to my offer is 'yes'. I wouldn't want you to dehydrate.
Sincerely,
Dr Lula
@tedoulula
Goddess 🙏🙏 could I pls have a bottle of cold water?
Yes, of course. Please, message me privately to ensure we won't miss one another in the building.
Hello, Beau.
While I count on you having already been taking care of your own hydration, I have brought bottles of water to cool down during the current weather. I could give you some, if you accept that offer or are in need of them.
Sincerely,
Dr Lula
@tedoulula
That would be lovely. Those ambulances get pretty warm sometimes.
Thank you, Dr. Lula
You are very welcome, and in that case, I'll come find you.
Hello, Robby.
I hope you have drunk enough water today, if not - I have more (yes, cold as well) water with me. Let me know, and I will bring you some. Besides, I've left you lunch in the cafeteria's fridge in case you have not prepared one for yourself already.
Sincerely,
Dr Lula
@tedoulula
I’ve been staying hydrated, shockingly. Been putting in extra effort there, given how hot it’s been. And thank you for lunch. If I get a minute to breathe, I’ll go eat.
You better make yourself get that minute, I did not convince you to have another person working the shift with you just for you to still overwork yourself.
Besides that, you're welcome, and I'm glad you've been taking care of yourself in that first matter.
dinner at Sonnets' || @madilynkaya
A little over a day after their conversation, Lula went to meet up with Madi. She has made sure to finish up charting, her cases, and to do the handover at the scheduled last hour of her shift, not wanting to prolong her dinner plans. She has already changed into her everyday clothes, too, ready to go straight home.
Madi smiles softly and makes her way over to Dr Lula as she hears her call her name “Nope! All done, finally” she mumbles that last part with a sort of playful annoyance in her tone. She adjusts her jacket and slings her bag over her shoulder. “Are you done yet?” She gestures to the computer Lula was standing near.
"I'm glad to hear that. And yes, I've just finished." She still checked whether the last page she had on was turned off, before facing Madi again. She walked with her straight to her car in the parking lot.
"Thank you again for agreeing to come over for dinner." The words left her lips just as she unlocked her car, and put her bag in the backseat. The true intention behind this meeting didn't even affect the genuine gratitude in her voice.
Madi steps outside with Lula, following slightly behind her so she can lead her to her car “Of course! Thank you for inviting me! I really appreciate it!” She responds genuinely, smiling softly, fidgeting with the strap of her bag. She opens the front passenger door and puts her bag at her feet
“A favour? For coming over and eating your delicious cooking? Please!” She teases, softly nudging Lula’s arm as she drives. As soon as they pull up to Lula’s house, Madi’s eyes widen “woah it’s massive! And so nice!”
"Thank you. My husband and I wanted for everyone to have enough space, so this was the perfect house, and we had enough money for it not to be a financial burden." The woman explained with a genuine smile on her face, as she led the girl inside. There, she slipped off her shoes, and she left the jacket by the door.
Madi did the same. She wasn’t often in houses as fancy as this, so she just followed what Lula did, hoping it was ok. “It’s really nice” Madi compliments as she walks inside, looking around. She smiles softly up at Lula, hoping she can’t tell that she’s not really used to this
"Thank you." Lula nodded her head slowly, before leading them both to the living room. She only stopped by the kitchen to greet her husband with a short kiss on his cheek, before she focused back on Madi.
"And please, try to relax. Iñigo and his friends probably ruined this house more than you could ever. One time they even broke one of my vases, so it's really fine." The smile on her face grew, turning more amused at the memory, and at Madi's behaviour. The thought also made her point in the direction of a few, self-made, and self-painted vases near them.
Madi smiles softly towards Lula’s husband with a small wave. She almost instantly reverts back to being a respectful teenager. “Hi sir! Nice to meet you” she’s definitely stressed about doing the right thing. She’s never really done ‘family dinner’ before.
She relaxes visibly when Lula reassures her. She looks toward the vases “you made these? They’re beautiful” she keeps her distance, scared of accidentally breaking one. She fidgets softly with her hands
"Hey, pequeña." Álvaro greeted the woman, turning his face towards her just for a moment, before he focused back on setting up the dinner for all of them.
"Yes, I did. You can touch, if you want. They're not toxic, nor do they bite." She joked a little, before she sat down on the couch. She stared up the stairs for a second. Still, she didn't call out for either of her kids to come downstairs just yet. "Would you like to sit down? Dinner should be ready soon, but we'll probably have to wait anyway."
Madi doesn’t really know what that means but by his tone of voice she assumes it’s a term of endearment. She gives a small nod in response. She glances quickly at the vases again before Lula’s voice grabs her attention, asking if she would like to sit “oh… yes of course” she smiles softly, realising she’s probably been standing awkwardly in their lounge room this whole time
"He just called you 'kid', nothing bad. I made sure they'd play nice." The reassurance left her lips in as calm of a tone as she could master, even with the thought of her children who were far more into teasing their friends than her or her husband.
"My daughter is around your age, so hopefully, it will be easier to discuss things with her." The sentence followed almost right after the previous ones. Her posture stayed relaxed, even as she noticed the awkwardness in Madi's stance.
Madi goes to sit next to Lula on the couch with a small giggle. She’s obviously much less stressed about the simple family dinner. She smiles softly as Lula reassures her that her daughter is her age “aww really!?” That makes her feel more at ease.
The woman nodded shortly, looking away from the girl for another second, as her gaze fell on the stairs again. She didn't seem to be focusing on them either, as she recalled both of her children in her mind. "They're both in their twenties, but I wouldn't be surprised if you got along better with Baila... Especially with how creative you two are."
“Baila?” Madi asks softly, not too sure which child she’s talking about. She gets more comfortable on the couch as she talks to Lula
"She's my daughter, she's much younger than Iñigo. He's closer to being thirty... I can't tell when that time passed." Lula shook her head gently, as if she was getting rid of memories from when her children were little. She kept smiling anyway, unable to stop the corners of her lips from rising.
Madi smiles softly in response to Lula’s smile “the way you talk about your kids, you must be so proud” she says softly, nudging Lula’s arm
"I am," Her voice, if it is even possible, softens more. Her eyes come back to Madi's face, even as Lula's head moves in a nod. Her attention soon shifts from the young woman anyway with footsteps, finally, echoing against the stairs.
Baila shows in their view not long after, but she doesn't notice them immediately. She chats up her dad as soon as she's close enough, seeing the food on the table long after she speaks up about whether the dinner is ready or not in spanish. "Oh, you're already here. Hi. Cause you're Madilyn, right?"
“Hi” Madi stands with a soft smile, making her way over to her “you must be Balia. It’s so nice to meet you! I’ve heard a lot about you!”
Lula follows after Madi, standing up, and walking closer to the dining table. She still doesn't say anything, since she lets the girls talk between each other. She even steps besides Álvaro to give them more privacy.
"I hope only the best things. My mom talks a lot about you, too, especially about the things you do for the hospital." Baila replies instead, smiling back at Madi.
“Only the best things” Madi reassures her, glancing back at Lula “and what did you tell her about me?” She playfully scolds, nudging Lula’s arm
"I've said exactly what anyone else would have said, a lot about how good of a social worker you are." Lula confessed with a little, growing smile. She didn't pull away, when the brunette nudged her, and the only movement was her arm following the one of Madi's arm. "Now, come on. Dinner is ready, so we should start, before it gets cold. Iñigo!"
Madi smiles softly “thanks Lula” she says genuinely leaning into her before following her to the dinner table
Everyone was sat in front of their plates, Lula's son coming down soon after she yelled out for him. The Sonnet family started to eat, too, and mostly neither spoke up in between chewing. Still, Lula was smiling gently - both from the knowledge that Madi had a warm food prepared for her, and at the gratitude in her behaviour.
"So... what's your spice level?" Iñigo asked, glancing at Madi to his side, and taking a break from the food just to talk to her. An idea already formed in his head, clearly for both women related to him.
“Yeah it’s pretty high” she smiles softly at the boy “why? Do you wanna test it or something?” She teases, not really sure why he would ask out of nowhere
"Maybe... But not right now, I didn't get my hopes up enough to get anything ready." The blond-haired man shrugged, glancing from her back to his plate. He got back to eating, too, without another comment about his potential plan.
“Ok… that’s kinda suspicious” she teases with a small smile, going back to eating her food too. It was delicious and she loved how easily she could talk to all of them “was there another reason you asked? Or?”
"Answering that would take away the suspicion." With a half-dismissive shrug, Iñigo keeps eating. When he answered, his eyes barely glanced up in her direction.
"No, you're just clueless. A thirty-years-old, clueless man." Baila interrupted them, leaning back in her seat. Her plate sat empty where it was seconds ago besides her.
"Almost thirty-years-old."
“Interesting” her eyes narrow playfully as he shrugs “and almost thirty? That’s practically ancient!” She jokes, smiling softly
"It's... it's really not." Iñigo argues back, his eyes widening at her comment. He raises his hand, pointing in the general direction of Madi and his sister. "You two are only like... what, five years away from being my age?"
Baila was six years younger than him, being only in her first year of 20s - that was clear to him. But, despite all the conversations about Madi they've had with Lula, he didn't know for sure how old the woman was.
“Well I’m twenty four so three years for me… but still, I’m closer to twenty than thirty!” She giggles softly. She’s starting to get comfortable at the dinner table now. Not as awkward or scared as before. She’s never really done a family dinner before but this? This is fun.
"Well, I'm not graying yet... and my back are fine enough for skiing or skateboarding." The younger man pretends to be old, and to hold his back in spite of his words. He stares back at Madi, not even minding the way she's giggling at him.
At the same time, Álvaro and Lula go to clean up the plates from the finished food. In the kitchen, they whisper between each other with smiles on their own faces. The woman does want to offer another portion, but the idea of interrupted them now seems worse.
Madi notices as Lula and Álvaro stand to clean. She does the same, wanting to help. She helps collect plates while simultaneously still teasing iñigo. “We’d have to put you in a nursing home at this rate!”
"Go sit back down. You're a guest, you don't have to do anything here... Especially not when both of my kids are doing the exact opposite of helping." The blond-haired woman takes the plates from Madi, quietly interrupting her conversation with the younger man. She sends her a kind smile, not wanting to make her embarrassed just from that. Madi was a guest, and she should just relax - that's what Lula was used to thinking at least.
Madi giggles softly as she continues collecting plates “please just at least let me help bring plates up” it’s the least she could do after joining them for family dinner “do you need help with anything else?” She asks softly as she finally brings the plates up to the sink
Taking the plates from her, the blonde puts them right into the dishwasher. At Madi's comment, her brows narrow a little in spite of the lightheartedness of the moment. It brings back the unspoken, not-really-serious rules of the house to her mind. The words about them don't leave her lips anyway - nothing except for the hesitant agreement does. "Just this once... And no, go relax however you want."
“Ok” she smiles softly, watching Lula take the plates “but I feel bad that I’m not helping” she giggles. She was always taught to help wherever possible.
The dishwasher is already running with all the dirty dishes gone, when Lula steps back into the dining room. The explanation makes her shake her head, nevertheless, her smile doesn't drop. "You don't have to worry about that, you came here just for dinner."
"...Which finished already, so if you want to get back home, I don't mind driving you back." She adds after a bit, glancing to the side at the clock to check the time on her own. She doesn't mention her not having to go, hoping that it's clear enough with every other part of their moment.
She smiles softly “thank you, I really appreciate that” she gives Lula a small, grateful hug. “And I’m so happy you invited me! I had a great time” this was her first real family dinner experience. She didn’t expect to feel so comfortable, especially since most of the people were strangers
Her arm wraps back around Madi, while the rest of her family says their goodbyes. Her eyes stay on the girl anyway, as she takes over any speaking from everyone. "I'm glad to hear that, even if it was our pleasure. It's good that you've had a good time, too."
Then, Lula checks over the place around them to make sure that the younger girl has everything on her. Again, like a clock with the thought of the dinner officially finishing... Without a word about that, she guides Madi back to the corridor, so she can follow through with her promise.
Madi follows, keeping herself tucked under Lula’s arm. She always felt like family to her, like some sort of mentor, and now she got to meet her actual family. “Thank you again for offering to drive me home” she smiles softly
"You're welcome. At least, I get to make sure that you'll get home safely." Tallulah stops inside only to let Madi put the shoes back on, and for herself to do the same. She immediately leaves the house, locking it with them already outside. With the hum of her car's engine turning on, and with the quiet gratitude hanging in the air, their planned time together comes to a close.

Hello, Jack.
Do you need me to drive by with some water for you, and your team? To be clear, I do not mind taking the time to do that. I wouldn't want either of you to work or simply live dehydrated.
Sincerely,
Dr Lula
@tedoulula
Oh my god that would be so awesome please!! We’re at the house rn if you wanna swing by. Our water cooler broke and so everything tastes like sadness
Just to make sure it was clear: swinging by, as you called it, wasn't a problem for me. Please, let me know if the new cooler breaks again.
Okay, does anyone know any young child friendly spots doing some sort of small activity for the 4th? Like, where a kid could get her face painted or something but isn’t super terribly overwhelming? I’m probably asking for too much
I've known some from few years ago. Would you like me to check which of them are still active, and send you the link to their websites in private messages?

Then, Lula checks over the place around them to make sure that the younger girl has everything on her. Again, like a clock with the thought of the dinner officially finishing... Without a word about that, she guides Madi back to the corridor, so she can follow through with her promise.
dinner at Sonnets' || @madilynkaya
Hello, Marie.
I have left you something by the nurses station in a light green gift bag. I hope it will bring you joy today. Best of luck and love for the next year.
Sincerely,
Dr Lula

what is this link? it is not blue. links are supposed to be blue. right?
From what my daughter has just told me, links do not work in most of those public messages, and to see what the link says you'd have to copy-paste it on the computer (but she does not recommend doing it with this one).
