canonically jewish (mentioned several times in the series and spin off series) but fandom completely ignores it. i think there's a few reasons for that: 1. people can't seem to wrap their heads around the concept of black jews existing. 2. he is unfortunately a victim of the Jewish Character Celebrates Christmas trope. 3. if i'm remembering correctly he's jewish via adoption which i feel like a lot of people think doesn't "count"
