heart-ruled:
🔧- “You do-! You definitely, definitely do!” His hands ball into fists from anxiety, giving a likely-overdramatic stomp or two to emphasize his point. Though there wasn’t as much blood as he thought there was for that initial shock, the damage was still more than enough that he felt justified in flipping out about it.
Nagito huh-? That certainly didn’t do much to quell his fears- and he had to stop himself from shouting out what he really wanted to say in response:
I told you that guy was bad news!
( It’s not as though Kazuichi has any affection for that freak - but he doesn’t want to hurt his best friend’s feelings. )
“I mean, d-do you have any sense of danger at all?! What if one of those glass shards had gotten into your neck, that car had hit you or- or one of those pigeons had pecked out your eye?!” He’s tried to scold her for happy-go-lucky attitude about it all, but it’s overridden by more worry than anger. The only ‘intimidating’ thing he manages to do is have his voice slightly louder than normal ( which, to be fair, was probably pretty loud already with her hearing loss ).
“I-if you’re going to make such risky choices you…you really should be more careful! Or…or at least carry a lot more band-aids with you!”
“Awwww, Kazuichi! It’s okay! Honestly this isn’t even the worst that could happen! Even before I met Nagi and came here my home town is super crazy! I’m talking crazy natural disasters, super natural incidents, pretty sure the bank got blown up a couple times too.” She talks so casually, as if what she was saying were some kind of minor, everyday inconvenience. Hearing the way she described her hometown in the states almost sounded like she was crazy, but every word of it was the truth.
If anything, once she came to Japan the shenanigans she’d get into with Nagito seemed way more tame in comparison!
“If I paid attention to everything that seemed even a little dangerous then I wouldn’t nearly half the fun I do now! But I promise I carry plenty of bandages and such everywhere I go!” Vivian places her little bag of snacks down on a nearby table and goes to pull off her messed up sweater. She always wore an undershirt with no matter what so she was still fully clothed as she examined the damage those glass shards did to her outfit.
“I’m gonna have to see if I can fix this later. Good thing it wasn’t my favorite sweater dress! That one’s in the wash because yesterday I ended up getting thrown into a hug mud puddle by Akane when we were messing around outside. It was super fun! Took me ages to get all the mud outta my hair though.”
