Nice round up by @apptamin of some of the main Mobile analytics tools
Knowing how many people download your app, how much money you're making or what users think of your app is important. But it's definitely not the only thing you should be tracking. It's not all about the number of downloads. You also need to learn how,...
Thought this died ages ago, they seem to have left it up there :)

Think we all saw this coming.
Foursquare Labs will begin charging some businesses for access to its database of restaurants, shops and other local venues, as it tries to make money from information it has gathered from user "check-ins" in the five years since its founding.
Instagram, now well over 150 million users strong, exploded on the scene as one of the most rapidly-adopted products in the history of the world. How are things looking these days, over two years after it was acquired by Facebook?

Nice little summary about learning games.
Despite people's skepticism, I am actually quite excited about wearables. They'll take a while to be accepted but I honestly see them being the norm in 15 years time. (The wonder of blogs is being able to look back on this and laugh in years to come). I am actually one of the "lucky few" to have tried Google Glass. I say "lucky" - I almost had a case of whiplash after trying to get the knack of the 'tic' motion that's required whenever you need to reset the sensor (I'm not sure if this was due to dying battery or lousy light conditions). My lack of American accent was also a bit of a hurdle, and one does end up staring furiously into the distance, intensely demanding "OK, GLASS!", in manner of angry gaffer. Despite needing a bit of a polish, these technologies, once refined, are likely to be as much part of our lives as mobiles became 15 years back.
Following on from my mini moan that Product Management is something that varies between companies and is difficult to define as a one-size-fits-all description, here's a great post which argues that definition within a company is crucial, with which I wholeheartedly agree. Understanding strategy and what is expected of you is crucial.

Love this site. Saves a lot of time when researching :)
You say Product, I say Project
Reading a lot lately about differences between Product/Project/UX work lately. I think the nature of working in fast-moving tech environments naturally leads to these roles being difficult to define. And rightfully so, as we need to always be adapting to rapidly changing requirements. What really irks me is when people get on their high horse and claim that others' opinions on the topic are 'simply wrong' without really explaining why. People's views are determined by the experiences they have at work/their research, which by it's very nature will vary hugely between industries, cultures, etc, and is constantly changing. It's right up there with UX/Agile pomposity on my pet hates list. Will probably do a proper post on what I actually think soon, but for now here's some examples of a few opinions I came across: http://www.mindtheproduct.com/2011/10/what-exactly-is-a-product-manager/ http://blog.uxpin.com/1473/product-manager-and-ux-designer-whats-the-difference/ http://blog.assembla.com/assemblablog/tabid/12618/bid/87899/Seven-Things-I-Hate-About-Agile.aspx
