Pokemon 115: Kangaskhan!

Also…a new update…in less than a mONTH?? H O W Well, dear reader, it seems that I have rediscovered the power of…pAPER On which to my own surprise things suddenly got done MUCH FASTER than in photoshop, so with 90% of the poses already done, I only had to worry about backgrounds and shading! Which…was still enough work tbh… But I really hope this also means that the finale part of this arc won’t take me half a year to complete, however, its probably gonna be around 40 Panels so I can’t make any promises on how quickly I’ll be able to finish it.

Atsuko Nishida is one of the most underrated artists ever. She created the mascot, some of the most iconic Pokemon ever but she doesn’t get much recognition and a lot of people don’t know about her. This is just a little appreciation post for her. #ThankYouNishida

She also turned an early design of Ivysaur when she joined Gamefreak during the development of Red/Green into the Ivysaur we know, then she created Bulbasaur from there (Bulbasaur and Venusaur were created after Ivysaur) #ThankYouNishida

… (Also yes that part with Dusk defeating a Drudigon at Level 17 ain’t a joke, that’s based on an ingame experience I had with him)

I’m sure this idea’s been done before, but I wanted to take my own crack at it. Wooloo is such a cute, innocuous looking pokemon, I thought it’d be neat if it evolved into a monster. The name, Wooloover, is a play on “wool-over”, as in to pull the wool over someone’s eyes….mixed with the phrase “wolf in sheep’s clothing”. Wooloo evolves via moonstone!

I was feeling like working on backgrounds and I had remembered @ohcorny doing some very lovely pokemon scenes a while back so I decided to give it a try myself.
