Infectious diseases have spread and my daughter has suffered a health problem that forced her to undergo surgery due to the lack of medical and health capabilities. My child has suffered burns on his face and neck.

We have lost a lot in this war. We have lost our loved ones and relatives. We have lost our source of income. We have lost our homes and our place of shelter. We have nothing left, not even security and safety.

We have been living in tents for six months, the worst days of our lives. We have lived through times of extreme heat, the presence and spread of insects, and the lack of sanitary means and cleaning materials. Now we are living the autumn season with its cold and rainy weather. The autumn rains have drowned us, so how about the winter rains?

Yesterday I collected enough money to buy milk and diapers for my infant daughter Habeeba, and we are very happy about that. Thank you very much for your donations and standing by our side, but now my thoughts have shifted to buying the needs of my sons Bashar, Hani, and Diana. As for the utmost importance, we are suffering from a lack of food and our inability to buy it due to the exorbitant prices. Also, in addition to the fact that they have no clothes at all, all their clothes were burned in the bombing of our tent on the first day of the truce. Also, we now do not have cleaning materials, mattresses, blankets, or a flashlight. We sleep every day with the flashlight of our mobile phone. In all honesty, we lack everything, and we do not aspire to provide all of that, but we want to have food for a day or two and a few of the basics that I mentioned previously. We are very simple and we want to remain that way. Thank you for your continuous support. I hope that you will share our story and donate to us if you can.

Hossam Al-Qazzaz, his wife Hanan, and their four young children, are among the 80% of Khan Younis residents now ordered to evacuate toward the coast.

They are currently in Square 111, a region dangerously close to the so-called "evacuation zones" that are actively being bombed.

Hossam has shared that their area is expected to be targeted next—and they fear that when the next order comes, they will be forced to flee into even deadlier zones.

Last night (05/18/2025) was horrific. “We never imagined that we would be alive in the morning,” Hossam wrote. Now, with communications at risk of being cut off, Hossam has asked the world to share his message and pray for his family’s survival.

His hope is to find a path to safety, to protect his loved ones, and to stay alive long enough to rebuild.

My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.

The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.

I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.

Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.

I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.

Right now, famine is hitting us harder than ever, my heart cries whenever I go to the market to buy any basic necessities! The prices are crazy, and most days my children survive on just bread Hunger and thirst are destroying us, and cooking on fire increases our suffering unbearably! Severe eye and chest sensitivity, in addition to constant stomach pain due to the type of food and the way it is cooked.

All this while we flee from one place to another in fear of bombing, bullets, and imminent danger! I cannot describe what I feel, but it is a feeling beyond exhaustion!
