Fetishizing women (whether it’s for body size, race, or disability, as well as other things like straight men fetishizing lesbians) reduces us to a part instead of a full picture. This is particularly personal to me because I have been hurt by men who only fetishisized my body with no interest in my mind. Now, don’t get me wrong, loving fat women isn’t the same as fetishizing them.
