DO YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT I WANT IN THE NEW VOLTRON THAT THE OLD VOLTRON HAD

Several days ago was the panel for Voltron Legendary Defender at SDCC- July 20th, 2017

With a bunch of crazy stuff being asked and shown with this big day, there was the release of another trailer for Voltron season 3. You can watch it on youtube here where DreamworksTV uploaded it. 

Now I have a lot of problems. People are going to assume when I say problems I mean “Look at all these flaws with everything I want to analyze” but what I actually mean when I say problems is “WHAT’S GOING ON???? I NEED TO KNOW THE PLOT OF WHAT’S GOING ON!!!! MY C H I L D R E N”

So anyway, I was rewatching the trailer (for the 1000th time) and as always being the Lance fan I am, I’m always looking at anything Lance and Lance related. 

Now in this trailer, there was a lot of things Lance related that caught everyone’s attentions. Mainly the part where the Blue Lion was falling into the oblivion.

And I am just as concerned as everyone else who also loves Blue and/or Lance. But this is the least of my concerns when it comes to questions needing to be answered.

No okay, so I am so just so a h h h h h h h and I can’t believe no one has noticed and pointed it out??? Or questioned it????

So there’s a lot of action sequences that are shown and played out throughout the trailer but there was one that caught my eye because how it looked…

So lets analyze this scene right here

So here is what we see

The yellow lion is firing a laser out of their mouth

They (either Hunk or Yellow) were clearly aiming for the purple ship 

(most likely a Galra ship or ship that was trying to attack them)

But instead the laser is hitting Blue

And the ship is either flying away or being pushed away

So here’s my problem-

CLEARLY YELLOW ATTACKED AND SOME WAY SOMEHOW BLUE IS THE ONE GETTING HIT

Now one thing we don’t know is who is inside of Blue because we know Allura will eventually pilot Blue but we also know that the team is unable to form Voltron for a good couple episodes in the beginning because they have yet to lion swap (since it has been hinted so) so there’s a big possibility that Lance could be piloting Blue in this scene just like there’s a big chance Allura could also be piloting Blue in this scene as well. That’s something that doesn’t matter because either way MY CHILDREN ARE GETTING HURT

But what I want to know is-

Why this scene is played out the way it is, with Yellow firing an attack with Blue getting hit and probably hurt along with her paladin and a weird ship involved

So I have a few plausible theories 

My first theory I have is that for some reason the Paladins are trying to attack the purple ship and Blue and her paladin (Either Lance or Allura) noticed something with the ship and ended up shielding the ship from the attacks because “Guys hold up this ship is innocent/our ally!” or something along those lines of misunderstanding 

The second one I have is actually my friend’s because I had consulted them first about this. So @memetbh had come up with a theory that Lotor could have found a way to control the Lions and had either

Took control of Yellow to attack Blue (Ah Hunk my sunshine would never intentionally hurt Lance or Allura)

Or took control of Blue to use her as a shield for the ship while injuring either Blue or her paladin in the process (two birds with one stone)

The third one I have is that the purple ship could be an ally ship, stolen Galra Empire ship and/or a Blade of Mamora ship and they had unfortunately ended up in line of fire and Blue and/or her paladin was just trying to make sure the ship and the pilot (with possible important passengers) didn’t get hurt because for some reason whatsoever they need to be protected

The last theory I have is a pretty simple one that it’s just, the pilot of the purple ship just has mad pilot skills and was able to slip through the Lions no problem while the Lions and Paladins are struggling to detain the ship

Oh boi here we go

Lance feels like he could be a better older brother even though he’s the best

He’s very self conscious about how skinny he is 

especially being surrounded by big and strong people like Shiro and Hunk

And don’t even get him started on his lanky figure compared to Keith

The reason he sleeps with Pidge’s headphones is because he needs white noise to fall asleep because he comes from a big family and there’s always some noise all the time

Plus the silence reminds him he’s far away from home

He avoids the training room due to the constant reminder that he’ll never be good enough

For the constant reminder that he’ll never be as good as Keith

He’ll often go to Slav to ask questions of possibilities like 

“What are the possibilities we’ll end up unsuccessful?” 

“What are the possibilities that we’ll get back to Earth?”

“What are the possibilities Earth will get attacked by the Galra?”

“What are the possibilities one of us will get seriously injured?”

“What are the possibilities one of us will die?”

This causes him constant anxiety and caution

He doesn’t self harm, he thinks it’s wrong because he was raised to not hurt yourself, but he always throw himself in front of his teammates and later looks at his scars happily 

He doesn’t like to cry and complain in front of the others

Their feelings are more important anyway

 He spends his nights in Blue when he can’t sleep because of his thoughts

She provides him with her own white noise in his head

He wonders if they can find someone better than him so this war can end earlier

Blue disagrees

Lance rushes into the red illuminated cockpit in giddy excitement. He was full of nothing but pride and happiness as he feels the purr of Red resonate within his mind. 

“I’m so glad you accepted me Red.” He smiled as he sat down into the pilot chair.

But of course cub, you have the potential even if for just the moment until I can have my paladin back. 

“Of course, I love Blue too much to stay but I’m so happy I was worthy enough for you” He chuckles.

He sits there in silence as he lets Red walk through their new fresh bond. He feels sadden by the lack of Blue’s cool presences now lingering dully in the back of his mind. He finds comforting knowing this won’t be permanent but that doesn’t stop him from missing his favorite girl.

His thoughts are stopped by the soft warm feeling of Red. Right, he thought, let’s focus on the important situation right now.

Shiro is still missing and it was decided that Keith was to pilot Black since Shiro had said so. That had left Red needing a pilot and Allura and Keith had decided that the best bet would be Lance. 

Lance was surprised and honored to be considered to pilot Red and even more elated when Red had accepted him with more than just the circumstance.

He was honored to be in this position as the Red Paladin. It’s the strong position, the awesome one. He’ll finally get all the fame and glory and attention that Keith gets….

“That’s right…” He looks down at the glowing red panel of alien controls as he speaks to Red. “Keith was your paladin first…”

At this point he’s talking more to himself than Red. “It’s just like the Garrison…”

“I’m just Keith’s replacement….”

“Again….”

It was a fucking joke about shoes (hella nice lookin’ shoes at that) and now that kid is being butthurt and saying they’re not in the wrong??? WHERE THE FUCK IS THEIR PARENTS

@bext-k did right by apologizing sure, but she did nothing wrong. She shouldn’t have to be saying sorry for a joke, much less to a minor who shouldn’t be on a site for 17+ users, if they either can’t learn to steer THEMSELVES away from troubling content on their own or have a parent supervising them. 

What the fuck is wrong with all of you? BOTH SIDES, BOTH THE SHIPPERS AND ANTI

No one should be harassing either side, you’re making it worse by doing this. Honestly, if this fandom get’s anymore toxic I feel like Dreamworks should just cancel the show if it’ll calm all of you the fuck down because with fans attacking the VA’s about personal discomfort shit and blackmailing to make a ship happen and then this incident with Bex, when are ya’ll gonna grow the fuck up? 

Fiction does not equal the person as a whole, please learn to differentiate between fantasy and reality, LEARN TO WATCH AFTER YOUR OWN DAMN SELF BECAUSE IT IS NO ONE ELSE’S JOB TO FILTER WHAT YOU SEE, THAT IS ONLY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. I know these aren’t all the points happening now, but it’s what I’ve seen over these past several months that have been causing so much bullshit in the fandom.
