On this day, in 1989, a gunman opened fire at L’Ecole Polytechnique du Montreal , separating the women from the men and screaming “I hate feminists!” Before opening fire.

He killed fourteen bright and beautiful minds.

In honor of them, Im sporting my feministé shirt today because fuck you, dude. Proudly a feminist today as I am every other day.

I have never seen my femininity as a weakness because it isn’t. I am an intelligent, sexy, well-educated, athletic woman who is proud of my body, my mind and my gender. And I’m celebrating that today for the women who died to protect my right to have my education, most of all.

For you, the survivors and the victims. Never forget.
