Possibly my favorite thing from a vocations pamphlet.
I know I’m very late for pride month. This is from one of my queer friends out on their mission! They asked me to post this :)
I'm fascinated to know what mormon communities look like on other social media platforms.
I'm passingly familiar with mormon instagram (it terrifies me) and even less so with mormon facebook (let gen X do what they will) but I'd be fascinated to figure out how they operate. who generally interacts with mormon content? who considers themselves a community member? what always seems to get brought up in discourse? if anyone writes a research paper lmk

y'all are sooooo into heresy until mormons do it. get real
“I asked chat gpt—” yeah well I asked pmg chapter 3 and it told me that there is more grace, love, and mercy in Jesus Christ than there is failure, flaw, or sin in us. so yeah
True obedience to me is walking the way God directly asked me to (being openly queer and actively LDS) and sacrificing to Him my need to have approval of anyone inside or outside the church by “picking a side.” I had to give up my idea of what it means to be perfect and stop attributing my value to other people’s approval, and that’s hard. But I’ve never felt closer to God or more free.
They hate me for my punk sensibilities and Christ-centered devotion
The extremely Mormon urge to be as loud and and joyful and friendly and kind and weird as possible vs the other extremely Mormon urge to be quiet and unobtrusive and avoid getting exterminated

Seeing evangelical Christians get baptized in t shirts and shorts is crazy to me. Where's your white prison jumpsuit
This is your fast sunday reminder that "increased religious freedom" around the world means trans and gay rights for all
