True obedience to me is walking the way God directly asked me to (being openly queer and actively LDS) and sacrificing to Him my need to have approval of anyone inside or outside the church by “picking a side.” I had to give up my idea of what it means to be perfect and stop attributing my value to other people’s approval, and that’s hard. But I’ve never felt closer to God or more free.

For everyone curious about the minecraft connection, youtuber GuyBordo has posted a series of videos titled "Beating Minecraft, But I Can't Break the Laws of _____." He has made videos themed around the three abrahamic religions as well as the laws of physics, north korea, and scientology. GuyBordo attempts to beat minecraft while avoiding certain foods/practices/etc prohibited by certain rule set, as well as achieving certain goals (paying taxes or building a temple). I find them delightful, 10/10 would recommend a watch.
