ᯇ when it comes to administering a punishment,

always, always talk before or after as to what

went wrong. sit down with your little come to an

understanding as to why the punishment

happened. that form of communication is very

needed in any dynamic.

ᯇ after any punishment, whether it's corner time,

writing lines, or even an earlier bedtime, offer

comfort after. don't just, time out, and then that's

all. talk, give comfort.

01. ꒰ new regressors !

ᯇ most important ; don't jump into a dynamic with a caregiver or flip !

ᯇ while it might take time, build a connection with someone you can trust & get to know them & how they care.

ᯇ comfort items ! ; such as, stuffed animals, sweaters / hoodies, and blankets can help you slip !

ᯇ when it comes to ‘ impure ’ regression ; if you are alone, surround yourself with anything you find comforting to self - soothe and if not find someone you are safe with and talk with them a bit !

ᯇ if you are a regressor that wants rules and reinforcements, make sure you are only agreeing with terms that you are the upmost comfortable with ! ; while it is important for the carer to also be comfortable with said rules and reinforcements, since you'd be the one having to follow, it's also important for you !

ᯇ when talking to new people online, treat them with caution. some “ caregivers ” try to jump into dynamics super quickly because they have less than pure intentions.

ᯇ involuntary regression is hard, but if you struggle with it, try to keep a comfort item on your person at all times. ( ie. small stuffies, fidget toys. )

ᯇ as a new regressor, you do /not/ have to have a set age range ! it takes time to figure it out. take your time, there's no rush !

ᯇ when it comes to making friends, don't talk to carers with just the intention of being in a dynamic ! it doesn't make them feel very good, talk with full intention to just be friend them.

ᯇ when getting into a dynamic with a flip, make sure you are always giving them time to regress, remember, they are healing too.



ᯇ should your carer ever do anything to make you uncomfortable, speak up !! it's okay to voice your feelings on any matter, and if your carer gets upset or angry, then they aren't right for you. patience is the upmost importance.

ᯇ regression is hard. not all of it is very fun and cozy or exciting and comforting, at times it can be hard, and exhausting, or lonely and saddening. it's to heal, but progress isn't linear ! there's ups and downs, and don't beat yourself up for having a hard time ! we all have hard days and you will get through it. <3

02. ꒰ new caregivers !

ᯇ most important ; don't immediately jump into a dynamic with a regressor or flip !

ᯇ be patient ! while some regressors need some stern guidance, it also pays to be patient and soft, they need it !

ᯇ important ; remember to take breaks, don't burn yourself out ! caregiving also means taking care of yourself.

ᯇ communication ! if you are going to be busy and unable to talk to your regressor or flip, let them know !

ᯇ before getting into any dynamic, have a conversation about what you are both comfortable / uncomfortable with !

ᯇ if you are a flip, do not neglect to regress, even if you have a carer lean, take time for yourself.

ᯇ some carers work best with certain age ranges, ( i.e, baby regressors 0 - 2 , toddler regressors 3 - 5 , child regressors 5 - 8 ) find what works best for you. don't feel pressured to take care of a baby regressor if you mostly fit the age range of a child, tot and so on ! now, there are also carers who are able to care for any age range. it's okay to be either or.

ᯇ some littles are uncomfortable with the idea of a carer having multiple regressors, should you get into a dynamic with a regressor that is uncomfortable with that, do not ! chat with other regressors with the intention of being their carer, it's a violation of their comfort. ( same for regressors !! )

ᯇ punishments & rewards ! this is if your regressor wants rules. while it may be hard to find what rules to give your regressor, talk with them. see what they'd want to include and to not include ! when it comes to punishments or reprimands, always keep it safe and never, ever ! take away a comfort item or a way to communicate with you. rewards should be things your little likes but doesn't get to do often. ( i.e. candy, later bedtime, extra tv time, etc. )

ᯇ this should be an unspoken requirement but sadly, it happens a lot, / do not / randomly ghost your regressor ! if you feel the dynamic mot working out, communication is vital. randomly leaving a regressor is harmful, and unjust.

ᯇ if you are talking to a regressor that you click with but aren't in the right space to become a caregiver permanently, talk about it. discuss possible babysitting or anything else you'd both feel will work for you !
