I’m barely surviving

And the people who are suppose to revive me, aren’t even beside me

Completely oblivious to what’s going on inside me, the secrets I’ve been hiding

The feelings I’ve been confiding

in myself cause I can’t trust anyone else, with my health or with the cards I’ve been dealt, so many emotions I have felt

Trapped and alone, taking on all these feelings on my own, wishing someone would notice my tone when I call them on the phone

or when I’m home alone with a beer in my hand and my hearts so heavy I can barley stand just wishing I could slip away to dreamland, daamn

I’m slipping like quicksand and nobody has even noticed. Not even the people who are supposed to be the closest, it’s like I’m out of focus

I’m fading away, day by day, but what more can I say, attention I can’t get you to pay

and time is running out, you’re all leaving me with so much doubt because you’ve yet to figure this out so for the last time let me shout

You need to step up or step out cause I’m losing faith, and soon there will be nothing left to revive or replace, just empty space cause I’m done with this chase

And it’s just a disgrace that it has to come to this but ignorance is bliss and I know I will be someone you will miss

But I’m leaving you behind, you will no longer waste my time throwing me off to the sidelines, my number one priority is now me and mine
