here some info, Craig (Ice Bender), Clyde and Jimmy (non-benders, although Jimmy may be air bender descendant), Token (earth bender) and Tweek (fire bender), find themselves following the Avatar's trail in order for them to come back to their respective homes and also save Token's parents after Azula's siege to Ba-Sing Se, this comic would be their equivalent to the Fire nation gang beach episode and in the earlier-ish days of the group being formed
Maybe a late bloomer to bending, gaining his powers a little later in life. This made him overtly anxious and afraid of his own fire because he’d been so keen on nonbending (maybe like his parents?) that when he presented as a fire bender, his entire world turned
Deep fear of hurting those around him. As a way to avoid actually training and dealing with the backlash of emotions (fiery tantrums and explosions), he drowns it out with the special tea his parents created for him
“Especial brew” of coffee keeps him calm, almost nulling the anxiety and worry of bending inside him, keeping that eternal flame inside him at bay so he can exist as close to being a nonbender
Super afraid and ashamed of being a fire bender… Maybe internal emotions left over from seeing how the Fire Nation took part in the war??? And he hates being hated by people, so he hides his firebending??
I like to imagine Tweek is very very very good at bending, he is Iroh in a way, he just feels it’s “too much pressure” to be fully in charge of his own power, so the tea helps him feels safer. He likes not having to worry about his fire, and that’s his problem, he doesn’t trust himself and is fine spending the rest of his life dependent on tea to keep him put together
Maybe the fight happens and Tweek has no more and that’s how it starts?? Like what his problem is
One of his biggest fears is Craig seeing him and his bending as more of a liability rather than something he can exist beside, since water and fire benders are so polar opposite, which makes him want to dull his bending to be beside him more.

But his icy personality helped his ability with the ice and snow in the tribe, he is crazy good with ice. Often using his ability to build up the walls and borders around the water, building various things for the tribe, truly being a contributing member despite his disdain of most.
He is very much a creature of habit, and finds his bending nothing special,, It’s very much just an extension of himself that he feels is nothing. He exists in the tribe and isn’t living his life, he’s just existing
His bff is Clyde bc Clyde deserves to be someone's bff
His “issue” is that he wishes to be a nonbender?? Maybe. He doesn’t hate his bending ability, but he also doesn’t find it to be anything special. He finds his bending the same way he finds his black hair, just another boring thing about him
Despite being Clyde’s best friend, he is still very closed off and cold towards him, Clyde is just another person in his life he has to exist around
Maybe he really likes Tweek’s emotionalness (not that he’s emotional, he’s just afraid and scared all the time) and so when Tweek is constantly hiding it, it annoys him because “why can’t he just be himself around me??”

Clyde finds Craig’s bending powers the most fascinating thing in their village. He has a disdain for being a nonbender, and often feels inadequate of himself as someone who contributes nothing, unlike Craig
He isn’t in love with Craig, but he is a little envious of him, almost annoyed by how (he feels) Craig takes it for granted that he’s “”Normal”” meanwhile Clyde has nothing
Oftentimes overlooked by everyone in his tribe, another reason he was bored and wanted to leave, he hated that everyone looked at him as useless and like a child.
Maybe overcompensates with trying to be overly helpful

He has a deep fear that he’s only allowed to exist based on his usefulness to those around him, especially Craig, so he often overexudes himself to be useful for him
He isn’t Azula, but I think there’s a deep sense of jealousy between him and Craig in a (kind of) way like that?
