Good morning! I made it to 50! As I sit back and reflect especially on this last year I've surprised some by not letting bad things that have happened be negatives but positives. That's has a lot to do with Thrive Zp actually. It's allowed me to be able to.make better choices and in turn help others do the same. And for me to put the Zp logo on my prosthetic speaks volumes and has others asking me about it! If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything. Zp is open to EVERYONE just reach out to me or Thrive Zp and you can take that fork in the road! I also reflected back on my family. Like I said family isn't always blood. These kids who have become adults have their own kids but they still call me " baby Carl" which I love! And they tell me their lives we're better because I was in it! They see me as their Uncle and I'm proud of it! They helped me become the person I am and I needed them as much as they needed me. I thank them so much! I wish the world had a little piece of what I have it would make a difference. Sorry I've been busy getting back into the swing of things. Tomorrow makes it a week since I've received my new leg and it's coming along. "Don't adapt to the energy in the room influence the energy in the room" which means to me don't ever settle be one who encourages change. Latosha Smith I like that and I'm running with it! So good morning! Hope everyone is well and blessed! Yesterday I saw Surge's post about putting on your socks and shoes and me being a recent foot amputee I responded that I only have to worry about putting on the right one. I put in there about the fact that if I can make light of my situation because my situation doesn't own me. It just reinforced that I have made peace with my situation and look at it as a positive. I'm not hurting anymore and that's a true blessing! And I've had others, so many others reach out to me and tell me I motivate and inspire them and they tell me what they're going through it's awesome! And I tell them we'll get through it! This is just another journey that I've been through and I'll take it one day, one better choice at a time. It gets better you just have to believe. If you let negativity in you defeat yourself from the beginning. I love Zp. I love the empowerment it has given me and reaching out to others is something I love to and will continue to do. Do you know I'm a preacher's son? Sometimes it comes out! My hope is that someone gets something positive from this and if you're crying it's tears of joy! I also want to extend my condolences to Alexis and Bri their mother Dena passed away and she asked me to be their Godfather when they were born. I love them both and I'm proud of them and I haven't kept in touch like I should but 3000 miles isn't a excuse. Good afternoon! So now I've been to the prosthesis and got cast for my prototype! So hopefully I will get that back in the next week and adjustments made and they'll make my prosthetic! They told me I could get a design put on it and first thought Taz! But I thought about it and was talking to a fellow Zpsters and told her I wanted to put Zp on it. And this person means a lot to me because they're going through a lot as well and she said I was motivating and inspiring to them which meant the world to me. She said yeah! I want Zp strong as she suggested but I don't have that on fabric so I'm going with Zp Better Choices. I want to give acknowledgement to a program that has changed my life and I know it'll open up conversation with people and I always keep books with me so I can possibly change others lives. If it wasn't for me continually doing challenges I wouldn't have the mindset to get through losing my leg know that I can. To get through physical therapy and surprising those who thought it was going to be a struggle. Zp taught me to believe in myself. And this with everything else going on in the world. I'm going to keep on Zp and encourage and motivate others because I believe in what it stands for. As always motivate and inspire someone today it could be life-changing! Still continuing on journey I had the cast made for my prosthetic! Hopefully in the next week the prototype will be done so final measurements can be made for the finished one. So I continue holding my stump up to be able to support me with the prosthesis. But I got this! I love Zp family challenge to me it's the perfect time to make "footprints". When I was growing up I didn't have many of those memories so when I went back to school I didn't have many to share. So I used to take my Godkids and nieces and nephews to do things, even if it only was a park. It's always good to get away from home and spending time with them. It's awesome when they remind me of things we did when they were kids and they now have their own kids and doing that with them!
