The Siren Song

So as you’ve all seen I haven’t been around much (and we didn’t make a big deal about it but I stepped down as a mod too). Mostly that’s been muse problems and needing to take care of the house and work nonstop. I just never found the extra spoons to be around.

But all this chaos going is actually having the opposite effect on me that is is everyone else. I’m not stuck in quarantine because I work at a pharmacy (doing order entry, but still) and our work is EXTRA busy now, to the point they’re offering us overtime. By the time I get home I don’t have the mental energy to write here, and my body seems to be almost constantly fatigued and in pain.

Long story short, I’m gonna be taking a hiatus until late April. Hopefully most of this blows over by then and I can take another step to figure out my muse issues when the time comes, whatever that may mean as far as keeping Taylor or perhaps going for a different character. We’ll see. 

It’s probably best you’ve been staying out of all of this stuff. It’s not exactly like, the most fun stuff to deal with. Like I tripped over my tied shoelaces three times on my way to throw my coin away But! Good news! There’s a solution to the evil coins! Just toss ‘em in the water. I guess. That’s what Blanche said. So if you know anyone who has one, uh– yeet away! Did I use that right

I mean, it was certainly something like that. But it all seems cleared up now! Hopefully no more cursed coins or treasure chests. I’d hope you like the ocean, you live on a boat. That’d be like, awkward otherwise. Like me. I’m awkward. I’m always awkward, especially when I talk to yo

Can’t say I’ve come across anyone with one, but I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks Rem. I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with all this shit and that I’ve been too busy to help.

You’d think how much my dad forced me to be on the ocean, I’d hate it. But she’s a mystery I adore, and I can’t get enough of her.

I don’t think a doctor’s gonna help, Erin. Nothing like that has happened, but other weird shit has gone down in the same vein.

Fucking hate them. Not sure what you want from inspiration from this town, though, if you’re not looking for terrifying. That’s at least 50% of what’s here.

Whoa, nice. It’s probably great during the warmer months, huh? It’d suck if you sleep walk, though. Like, a lot.

Maybe you need to get out of town? Find a new place, get some fresh perspective?

It’s fantastic, yeah! I love being rocked to sleep by the waves, honestly. It’s hard for me to sleep in a stationary place sometimes. Luckily I don’t sleep walk, haha.

Ack, I’m sorry that you’ve been so busy! And that your boat was damaged, is it left over from the fish rain?

Mmmmmmmm Now that the big evil lobsters and fish rain is gone, it’s been pretty normal, I’d say. No blood puddles either, which is nice. It’s just been White Crest as usual. I’m not particularly creative, though, so I’m not really sure what would be inspirational for you. Maybe a nice hike?

Left over from that flooding a while ago actually. She’s seaworthy, but the interior needs some work before I get mold or some shit.

Some not good stuff. I helped open the chest so it’s my fault People think coins are cursing people. Like…seeing dead people and not being able to lie and giant eyeballs in your dreams kind of stuff.

Maybe cause beaches are like…mysterious? Like, there’s so much about the ocean we don’t know. Like, we know more about outer space than we do the ocean. Isn’t that crazy?? It’s part of our own planet and we can’t even reach the bottom of it to know what’s down there. Apparently crazy cursed treasure chests is one of those things.

That’s...definitely worth the ominous-ness. Holy shit. Maybe I’m happy work has been sucking away at my soul lately.

Good. Well some of us ended up burning a cardboard cut-out of one the other day. Went up in flames way too fast and then billowed out cursed smoke afterwards. That’s inspiring, right?
