Eyebrows crinkled slightly as Urbosa looked to the young girl before her. Perhaps she hadn’t completely understood the meaning of her words. The Yiga Clan would not be happy once they heard of the resurrection of the former Gerudo Chief and Champion.
Over one hundred years had passed since she had walked among the living of Hyrule, but surely the traitors had not forgotten who she was. They would be sure to have heard tales of the many quarrels between the late Urbosa and their own kind - many violent and not ending in their favor. With Calamity Ganon gone, they would surely turn their focus onto something else, perhaps the assassination of the resurrected Gerudo…with the other champions to follow.
“My fury was more trouble for them than anything else - certainly not what they would consider a useful trait.” She chuckled at that. “Not unless they had managed to turn me to their side. They’d never be able to do that, of course, but it wasn’t from lack of trying on their part. I suppose they believed because I’m Gerudo I would be predisposed to follow Ganon.” It was her turn to gaze towards the horizon then, seemingly becoming a bit lost in thought until she spoke again. “In your time as a knight, have you had any experiencewith the Yiga?”
a flush rose in linke’s face , the red creeping between the scattering flecks on her face and pointed ears. she misunderstood! oh how embarrassing! her hands shook and her knuckles paled even more as she focused her eyes on the ground. the sand shifted easily with the slightest breeze and once linke had steeled her nerves , she rose her head to answer.
❛ o - oh. uh. no , not as a knight. i grew up here - ❜ she gestured behind them , to gerudo town in the distance. ❛ it was more experience with them when me and - ❜ the name stuck in her throat. ❛ my friend sneaked out. i always had to protect him. ❜ the memory brought a smile to linke’s face.
