                      ❝ We’ve been here for many years, ❞ among the perennial plants, the trees have been considered many to their kind, warriors and protectors. They were the ears and the fields had become their eyes, watching humans for many years. The Sequoia’s, the oldest of their kind had been looked to as elders, messengers of the gods because they reached high into the sky. Among them was General Sherman, the youngest out of the trees by two thousand years. ❝ Humans just haven’t bothered to look close enough except for the rings. I wonder what’s the fascination of age with your kind? ❞

                       ❝ I guess that’s an accurate description, ❞ if she was limited to a word, one that would describe her habit, traveler would be correct. Humans feared what they could not understand, however, certain exceptions allowed her to interact with selected few. ❝ Where the current takes me, I go. If there’s a place I need to be than I’ll be there, no matter the time or day,  ❞ words almost lost in a haze, as her eyes wonder, disconnecting from the current vision of who she’s speaking to. ❝ I really like to be free.
