Isn’t it nice to know that people think of you when they see certain things?
I love typography, so if one of my friends ever takes a typography class, they might think of me. When someone mentions ballet, I think of one of my friends, and when someone talks about pokemon or certain bands or fashion, I think of other people. It’s nice to know that you are memorable and important, and even if you cross someone’s mind for only a moment, you still occupied their thoughts and made an impact.
I think hell is something you carry around with you. Not somewhere you go.

“I wanted so badly to lie down next to her on the couch, to wrap my arms around her and sleep. Not fuck, like in those movies. Not even have sex. Just sleep together in the most innocent sense of the phrase. But I lacked the courage and she had a boyfriend and I was gawky and she was gorgeous and I was hopelessly boring and she was endlessly fascinating. So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was hurricane.”

Risking our hearts is why we’re alive. The last thing you want to do is look back on your life and wonder, if only.

“People think dreams aren’t real just because they aren’t made of matter, of particles. Dreams are real. But they are made of viewpoints, of images, of memories and puns and lost hopes.”

You don’t get better on the days when you feel like going. You get better on the days when you don’t want to go, but you go anyway. If you can overcome the negative energy coming from your tired body or unmotivated mind, you will grow and become better. It won’t be the best workout you have, you won’t accomplish as much as what you usually do when you actually feel good, but that doesn’t matter. Growth is a long term game, and the crappy days are more important.
The Way of the Fight (Georges St. Pierre)
