I love your blog’s whole vibe! What inspired you to get into makeup? I’m really into the kabuki style looks you’re doing!
Thank you, so glad you like everything! I am sometimes worried the post themes were too all-over-the-place lol! I don't really know how the makeup thing got started to be honest, I'm an painter and found kabuki makeup a perfect way to transform myself into a character from traditional folk art and create a theme with a bunch of different colors without having a "glam makeup" sort of look which I personally don't want. I've had interest in Japanese gardens and various cultural things since I was a little kid but over the past fifteen years or so I hadn't revisited any of it. More recently after seeing a Japanese themed exibit the cycle of core things I'm interested in has come back to Japanese things and I've discovered the traditional art and kabuki makeup, and suddenly become super interested in Japanese ghost and yokai stories specifically, and finding new ways to make things that aren't spooky, spooky. I'm actually working on creepy Japanese art projects that I'm showing the process of on Tiktok and Youtube if you're interested!
