the thing I respect about the Skulduggery Pleasant novels is that every time a character has a stupid name, it’s because they gave themselves the stupid name. And I can’t even be mad about that because if I had been magically bound to the name I picked for myself as a young teen, I’d be Maverick Fargo. Which is EXACTLY the kind of name a skulduggery pleasant character would have.
