let’s talk about how doctor who took a child who’s considered “disruptive” and obviously criticized by teachers - a child who, in real life, and many pieces of media would be demonized by everyone and simply dismissed as lazy and unintelligent - and made her the first woman on the moon, gave her the bravery and intelligence to stop a huge, terrifying spider and – in the doctor’s words - “save the earth”, and made her the president of the united states.

People REALLY need to know that the Daleks were originally based off Nazis. That makes fans painting them as metaphors for mentally ill people severely insulting and offensive.

Sorry, but I’ve seen people with autism and other mental disorders get offended by the fact that Daleks in the Asylum were getting compared to mentally ill people by tumblr users.
