Why are there not more crossovers between Warehouse 12 and Victorian Torchwood?

"What, ah, wait— why are you," the Doctor frowns, tapping a console screen. "What are you doing?" He hears a muffled curse and looks up, catching Claudia fiddling with something on the other side of the console: "Oi! You! What did I say?"

"Aw, c’mon, Doc—"

"I said no touching! Artie told me all about what happens when you touch things, Miss Donovan."

Claudia scowls: “Okay, that makes it sound like I don’t do really awesome stuff when I tinker. And I do.” The Doctor circles the console, swatting her hand away. “Oh God, you’re just as much of an old fart as Artie, aren’t you? I thought you were gonna be fun.”

The Doctor pouts: “I’m fun.”

This is a 21 chapter fic divided into seven “episodes” of three chapters, one of which will be published each day of AU Week, and there will maybe be a “Christmas special” later in true Doctor Who fashion.

There’s references in there for Old Who, New Who, and Torchwood fans (and even Mass Effect fans, because I just had to try and make a crossover sci-fi fanfiction even geekier), and obviously there’s plenty of WH13 parallels.

Since it’s put together on a tight schedule, it’s only slightly edited, so proceed with caution both with errors and with potential plot weirdness. But anything based on Doctor Who has to be at least a little bit cheesy, right? That’s what I’m telling myself.

This post is basically just helping me avoid a bunch of annoying notes at the beginning - a nice little summary, I guess. So, speaking of which: The whole thing is T at most and probably 95% of it is milder than that, it’s much more adventure than romance but you can probably guess what the big pairing will be, insert obligatory (?) disclaimer here, et cetera. Blah blah blah.

Okay! Stay tuned! That’s all I can say right now because River and I share a dislike for spoilers, but the first “episode” will be posted today, maybe this afternoon, and then one every day all week long.
