Hi, my name is Tara and my daughter and I are having SERIOUS withdrawals from the @taylorswift concert!
In case you didn’t know, my daughter is THE biggest Taylor fan. Obsessed doesn’t even begin to describe it. She LIVES and BREATHS Taylor. All I ever hear is “I want a picture with Taylor.” “I want to sing on stage with Tay Tay.” “Mooooom, turn on Taylor!” P.s. - I adore her too ;-)
I posted a snippet the day of, but didn’t really explain myself. We dressed up as Taylor’s cats, Olivia and Meredith (we have a cat name Merida so that tickles my daughter silly hahaha.)
I can’t even BEGIN to tell you how many people stopped us to take photos. The number of people walking by saying “OMG! That is SO clever, I’ve never seen anyone dress up as her cats.” “Awwwwww that is SO precious.” Serenity kept telling me, “People keep saying I’m so cute!”
This is our second Taylor concert and we are already impatiently waiting for the NEXT! SUCH an incredible show!
Throwback to 1989! RepTour in 11 days!!
And now four days until Rep Tour!
So I realized Reputation will be my first Taylor tour since coming out.
It sounds super lame, but as someone who used to be very uncomfortable with his sexuality, Taylor shows have always made me a little anxious. Sadly, a lot of people wrongly assume that most male fans are gay. While I know that not true, this often left me holding back and playing it cool in an attempt to dodge questions that I just wasn’t ready to tackle yet. Basically I never wanted to bring too much attention to myself because it seemed like too big of a risk.
Not anymore though. I can’t express how freaking excited I am to dance my ass off and not give a single damn what people think. Watching Taylor constantly come back stronger through all of the opposition she has faced over the years has played a huge part in me finally having the courage to just freaking be me. I’d love more than anything to get to thank her in person one day. 🏳️🌈 🐍
