I'm certainly not happy that my daddy is having so many issues right now, and I would do anything to just take it all away, so he could feel better and be active again... But I do thank the Lord that I have been able to give back just a tiny fraction of what he and my precious mama have done for me. A little silver lining to this awful health setback is that it has been nice being back home and in my childhood bedroom again. (Not sure my hubby feels the same about downsizing from a king to double size bed. Lol) I love this house and all of the wonderful memories that go with it, and I love the people in it even more! Happy 26th Birthday to my Precious Daughter! At about 6:00 PM on January 30, 1997, I was checked into Forsyth Memorial Hospital to begin the long process of inducing labour. It was my fifth pregnancy, but my first four had ended with miscarriages, so I was understandably very nervous. Finally, at 8:17 PM on January 31, we finally heard a pitiful little cry and this gorgeous little girl with big, beautiful, blue eyes was staring straight at me. I instantly fell in love with her. That precious little girl is now a young lady, and I am so proud of all that she has accomplished in the last twenty six years. More than anything, I am proud of her compassion and love for others. She is gracious, kind-hearted, and courteous and always wanting to help those who are less fortunate. That makes a mama's heart so happy. Mikayla Brooke, I love you more than you will ever know, and I thank God every day for giving you to me. Kirby Beach Trip 2022... Day 3 was a day of just relaxing and enjoying our time together. Sometimes you just need to listen to the ocean waves, feel the cool breeze in your hair, and pretend that you don't have a care in the world. (Don't let my smile fool you. I have to pace myself. I can't do everything I would like to do. Unfortunately, everything isn't sunshine and roses, but at least I can sit for awhile with our family and be thankful for the time we have together.)
