Not an entirely familiar face as most he saw passing by and spoke with, but enough familiarity for previous conversation to strike in mind, a connection being made to the face of this woman.
“Do you need somethin’?” Any person could be a potential client for a job, and the boss would whoop his hindside if he didn’t at least probe a little.
“Hello again.” She inclined her head.
It was pleasant to see him again, if she were honest. The city boasted too many unknown faces, but his, at least, stood out in her memory.
“As a matter of fact, yes. I would like to hire your troupe, if someone else has not already taken your time.”

Any job was a job he should accept without hesitation, and yet Marcus toes the line, smile a little bit more unsure.
“Ya see, we would love ta take ya up on that offer but well we aren’t... really a theater troupe.”
Not a lie, although he does not entirely reveal the truth, lest she actually would want to know it.
