[What Is DeltaRoads One May Ask?]
DeltaRoads is a AU made by me that combines the story and world of Deltarune with that of Cassette Beasts. It takes place on New Wirral, like in Cassette Beasts. However, the landscapes and towns take on after the areas in Deltarune. And there are also more islands that are near New Wirral. The monsters from Cassette Beasts still exist, and the whole thing with cassette recording is still around. There's just a lot of Deltarune related stuff mixed in to get the wackiness that is DeltaRoads!
The plot still happens in the same way Cassette Beasts does (main character finding all archangels in order to piece together how to get home, befriending people along the way), but there are side plots involving the archangels that bring it back to being Deltarune; with them involving explorations of these places and eventually encountering the 'final boss' of that story.
#DeltaRoads - Base AU tag. Everything relating to the AU is tagged with this; art, lore, asks, whatever.
#DeltaRoads AU - Ditto as one before.
#DeltaRoads Archangel - If one of the AU characters featured is an Archangel (by Cassette Beasts rules).

fuckass chapter 5 yap thought (borderline theory???) I wanna make before we get the release of the thing.
it would be so so cool if the final shadow crystal boss ends up being one of the regular late chapter bosses you fight (even better if they end up being the final boss normally). you come to see this character in one light all throughout the story. you get hints about where to find the shadow crystal holder, yet your hands come up empty.
then before you know it you're at one of the last fights of the chapter, you are face to face with a character of importance to the plot and... is that a hint of the freedom motif in their battle theme-
like imagine how cool it would be if a character you come to know fully in one light has a whole layer underneath that you never even got to see. all those hints being given? yeah they were pointing you towards this character... but the details sounded just like another that you didn't bat an eye their way-
i feel like it would be a fun way to play on the shadow crystal fight thing like how the Knight did. some people are pissed that it's a "secret boss", but the thing is... it's a secret because it's a surprise you can beat it then and there. a character who is very involved in the plot that also seems to take up two different boss spots would be a really neat way to wrap up the shadow crystal line up. it's like a mix of Spamton (taking up two boss spots; mini and secret) and Gerson/Old Man (a character you interact with a fair bit and is active in that chapter's plot).
