something the nier fandom doesn't talk about is how nier and 2B were presented with the same choice (the only family you have or all of humanity. you can't save both, one of them has to go) and made the opposite decisions

bc of how the nier concert implied that 2B was made with nier data and 9S is made with yonah's data, it means that 2B is just nier having to choose to save humanity over yonah (9S) even though humanity is long gone (which he doesn't know), and worse, having to kill her (him) himself (herself) over and over and over again to repent for his sins

worse so, 2B isn't even the same person as nier - she just has his consciousness data. so she's like, a recreation of him (not even that) stuck in a purgatory of forever trying to save what nier doomed while having to now destroy a recreation of yonah instead

anyway guess who has trouble falling asleep again

my favorite thing about nier automata is how the internet depicts 2B as this sly, dominatrix, femme-fatale when in reality she's a deeply depressed, low-key socially awkward, stupid like a pile of rocks womanfailure

the concert paralleled nier and yonah and 2B and 9S

as for why i think 9S is yonah and 2B is nier specifically, at the end there were 2B and 9S internal monologues and it went something like this

2B: all i want is to rid him of his pain (nier tried to help yonah's pain, bc yonah was the one in pain from her sickness)

9S: all i want is to make her smile (yonah constantly tried to make nier happy. by making him pumpkin pie for example)

also, the concert talked about nier's sin and how he destroyed humanity, and then towards the end its said (or implied? adhd sucks man i already dont remember) that 2B is punished for her sins

EDIT: also, not part of the concert, but both 2B and nier are stupid as FUCK so i think it fits them
