“Come on,” he grabbed her hand to pull her to the side of the building. “I found a way in over here, no passwords, no lines,” he nodded, not letting go of her hand just yet, though there was no real thought to it.

Her brows rose in shock though she followed along easily, a grin dawning on her face. “I never pegged you to be a cheater, Jay,” she chuckled. “I always thought you were so straight laced. I’m really seeing you in a new light right now.”

“The part that I always think is fun. Getting drunk. Like throwing an item in a fire is actually going to do anything.”

“Some people find it therapeutic,” she shrugged though she knew she hadn’t brought anything either. “There’s nothing else here you’re interested in at all?”

“I was ready to offer them money. I hardly care about the honor of the game.”

“Ah, but see, with my tactics, you get to save your money, and spend it on my booze instead,” she teased with a grin.

“There is no new Jo! I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jo shook her head, running a hand through her hair. “You clearly just don’t know me at all anymore.”

“Jo, you are growing and evolving as a person, even you have to admit that!” she gestured at Jo. “Come on, don’t even joke about that. You know I know you. You have I know you so well.”

“Do I seem like the person who wants to be on everyone’s mind at the end of the night? That’s way too much attention!”

“Old Jo, no, but this new Jo?” she shrugged. “She’s getting more adventurous. I wouldn’t put it past her to enjoy it just a little.”

“Seems like you want me to be,” he let his eyes wander down her, his fingers dancing over the fabric a bit. “Lurking makes it sound creepy or shifty. I was… being,” he laughed, the drugs in his system making the laughter flow out easier.

“It would be pretty in character for me to want you to be,” she grinned at him, her eyes searching his face. “Oh, being... how high are you right now?” she laughed softly, her fingers lacing with his. “And do you have anything to help me get on your level?”

“You’re looking this hot for me, huh?” Luke jested, slipping an arm around her waist as he approached.

“Tempted to steal me away and do something about it?” she chuckled and leaned into his touch. “I was wondering where you were lurking.”

“This whole thing is a whole lot of cheesy bullshit.”

“Yeah, but you’re here. Which means some part of you thought some part of this was going to be fun.”

“I thought it was what I wanted, but then I remembered that everyone sees it all, not just the people you want to.”

“You don’t want to be the person on everyone’s mind at the end of the night? Seems like a wasted opportunity.”

“Is this dress too short? I keep feeling like this dress is too short.”

“Oh, it’s definitely short, but I feel like you wouldn’t be wearing it if that wasn’t what you wanted.”

“Not to totally cheat the system, but what if we just tagged along behind the next group heading for the booze tent?”

Jo: I don't know! Dates! All sorts of dates! I can manage to relax for a spa day, I think I need one ASAP.

Nolan: You can't expect me not to. You are a sugar baby, aren't you?

Nolan: Oh you shot it. I respect it but no.

Nolan: Again not offended or taking personally. Just shocked by how easily you ask.

Nolan: Not offended but it is quite the ask. Or are you just used to casual hookups paying for your vacations?

Nolan: So you think that I should just pay??
