The human being succumbs to their own judgments and self-imposed pressures.
The world is cruel and difficult, but as if the world and other people pressuring us were not enough, we also pressure ourselves to be perfect.
We are either our greatest enemies or our greatest allies. It is our choice.
Many people are afraid to spend time alone with their thoughts because they cannot deal with themselves.
Understand this: we need to go within ourselves, because only those who first overcome themselves can overcome anything else.
But overcoming yourself is not about being perfect; it is about knowing who you are and understanding your limits.
Here at home, it has been difficult to find a solution for a renovation job we hired that turned out poorly. I spent days burning my brain trying to figure out how to fix it. Until I reached a point where I thought: you know what… if there is no solution, then it is already solved. I accepted it. I was suffering in advance, trying to solve something that is not even a real problem at the moment.
Then there are those who say, “Ah, but if you don’t fix it today, tomorrow something might happen…” And I reply: but what if it doesn’t happen? Let’s take care of today’s battles; we’ll worry about tomorrow’s tomorrow. Because sometimes tomorrow itself brings the solutions too.
In short: when something is too difficult, the best solution is to abstract from it and act a little crazy! 😉
The peace we seek lies in the choice we make every day between being troubled or preserving our calm.
