//Hello! Long time, no see, right? This post has been a long time coming and I hate that I just disappeared a few years ago without much notice. This post is for the approximately 4 people still following this blog 😅 or anyone who might for some reason come here to see if I've popped back up somewhere.
This blog has been silent basically since COVID started, and although I sometimes consider starting it back up, I haven’t watched DW in years and I don’t really have the dedication or time to gather new writing partners and consistently write here anymore. I so appreciate the time I did spend here, though!
I was looking at my old blog and realized I started writing Andromeda back in July of 2012! Since then, I had the opportunity to write with so many fantastic people who helped me to flesh out this character that emerged in my brain at random. She developed friendships (OC time lady Giselle, a few Doctors, a Jack, and a couple of Masters who accepted her as family), made an enemy or two, and developed a deep love for an immortal Irishman named Fynn (eternal otp!). Just thinking about what fun I’ve had here over the years makes me want to pick it back up again!
But tumblr has changed, rp has changed, and almost everyone I’ve written with isn’t here anymore. So I think it’s time for me to accept the reality and officially retire Andromeda. In my mind, she will have a happy ending living side-by-side with Fynn as they travel the universe picking up assorted treasures in hidden temples and getting into various scrapes before heading back to the TARDIS for tea and the closest thing they can get to a domestic life. ❤️
Although this chapter in my writing life is over, if you still want to keep in touch with me, I’ve returned to my personal tumblr @ashortstoryaboutlove so if you’d like to keep in touch I’ll be there. I am currently obsessing over kdramas and science fiction.
Much love and best wishes to everyone who happens to see this post! A few things will come out of the queue that I had saved in my drafts (bc it feels like a waste not to spit them out), but after that this place will serve as an archive of some of the best collaborative writing I’ve had the privilege of participating in.
