I haven't been in the best of headspaces these past weeks for multiple reasons. Was supposed to have gotten a bunch of stuff done today but I spent a lot of this evening moping instead.
So I sketched Dimitri in an attempt to be vaguely productive, and because I miss Last Eden a lot. Sorry he's so derpy with a broken spine/hips - I'm super rusty from having no time to draw.

Idk if i like this one or not but I just wanted to scribble something fun in my lunch break. Ampz is an OC of mine and Metty's, thought I'd try a colour palette of green, pink and purple which is the colours of her and her siblings so. I enjoy drawing her a lot for some reason??
Her anatomy is completely off, but in the time frame I had, I was honestly only really interested in getting all the colours into the the hair/face~~

I only meant to do a warmup but I got too involved with experimenting and suddenly I’d spent 2 hours messing about with a stupid warmup drawing instead of work and it’s super messy because of that i am gomen (i need to work on blending and values)
tl;dr - I am an idiot
This looks really great~ Like the use of shading and stuff
But advice from one artist to another~ If you use a darker opacity where his jaw and his throat meet it’ll help with the values And especially in places like his hair, in between his skin and jacket or clothing you should use darker opacity Trust me it really helps to bring it forward a little more
Otherwise it’s so awesome : D
Ahh thanks so much for the critique, I love critique! ;u; I'll get some more practice with putting darker opacity in places - it's always been something I've been afraid to do for some reason? Haha!

I did some really poopy bust sketches of the Oshu lot from mine and seethebattlefield's modern day AU RP~ just as reference really, and an excuse to mess around with a new brush on Photoshop. You can tell how lazy I was with them!
I guess Toshi is an OC - he's Kita's son (the one she had sadly lost historically).
So I spent about 4 hours doing a painting study of Supersonic sans most piercings and eye tattoo (basically copying from one reference) because I realised  that I've never actually sat down and worked out how to paint. And I wondered why I never did very well without using any reference.
I really think I can advance with my artwork now that I've realised to use reference, because only then will I understand anatomy and colour theory. When I've practiced more I can start doing stuff from my head again. I mean there's stuff wrong with this but it looks 1000% better than the rest of the stuff in my blog.
Moral of the story: USE REFERENCE FOR GOODNESS SAKE
