A couple of doodles of one of my favorite “OC” characters in Dragon Ball Fusions, Zysa.

Ahhh, hell, let’s draw them. Custom fusions a-la this monstrosity, though using outfit cues from some of my own modifications. Probably could have done a bit more with a couple of them, but how often am I gonna draw these guys?
I’m cheating and just putting up the flat colors to get this posted before 9 lol. It’s not like the extra effort to shade matters in the long run. =3=;
Them shuffling moves was the most amusing part of this Fusion team. Edabet dropped (Desperate) Cover for Dual Edge Slash. Estoh dropped Dual Edge Slash for Energy Burst Break. Biwalito dropped Energy Burst Break for Hyper Hurricane. Only Kranomy kept all her moves, but could have dropped Hyper Hurricane for Cover to complete the circle, if having a 2-ki Hyper Hurricane on someone with Battle Prep wasn’t The Most Broken Turn-One Ring-Out Move In The Entire Game (and was largely the fight-winner when they were unfused, so having two teammates with it made everything a huge cosmic joke).
A lesser but somewhat founded headcanon of mine is that Zysa - described as a housewife “strong enough to tame her Saiyan husband” but otherwise not directly referenced as related to anyone across any of the bios - is actually Garatz’ wife and Nazz’ mother. The only real in-game hint is that the three can be found fighting together on Floors 4 and 5.
But if I wanna go full tinfoil-hat, her name in Japanese is ザイサ (Zaisa), which may be a reordering of “zaasai” which is a kind of pickled vegetable (榨菜/Zha cai), while “nazuke” (菜漬け, the possible origin of Nazz’ name (ナズ) if it wasn’t meant to be a modification of ‘nasu’ for eggplant) is also a kind of pickled vegetable.
Jury’s still out on Garatz’ name (ガラッツ - Garattsu), though, though ‘zuke’ is a common suffix for pickles and ‘tsukemono’ is also pickles, and ‘gari’ is pickled ginger. There might be something else less convoluted/contrived at work with his name that’s just gone over my head (and if anyone knows, please share!), but he’s established to be Nazz’ dad in text so trying to tie his name to a theme isn’t totally necessary, but knowing DB writers...

In all fairness, he was kind of asking for it.
I continue to play the game and fight random battles despite having more or less completed everything (save 100-man Tournament and the pure tedium that is trying to fill in all the Fusion trees) because it occasionally gives me daily art fodder.
Murder Mom and The Healer have arrived. I’d say something wittily foreshadowing about it, except I already posted the full sketch set and I’m pretty sure the only people who are bothering to look at these have already seen it and know where this is gonna go, haha.
