The Fairly Oddparents: Shadow Showdown (PS2) 7/10 We all know and love this trio, and this time they tackle their most dangerous foe yet: No TV on the night of Crash Nebula's season finale! Normally, Timmy wishes for his TV to work, but Cosmo and Wanda's magic don't work. As Timmy rushes to fix the problem before the rerun is aired, he evidently goes on a journey to save the world. Level design is by far either ridiculously too straightforward or your trying to figure out where the hell you're supposed you go. Could've been done a whole lot better overall. My favorite level would be either Dad's Dream or The Great Esc-Ape. Reason being is that they both have a decent level design with plenty of areas to explore and some decent challenges (such as hopping from platform to platform or climbing up and around walls without dying). The best aspect of this game is the music. One thing I love about this franchise is the overall background sounds and music. Each tune and melody simply immerses you into the situation of the area/stage. Another thing I love is that the original voice actors are in this game and the banter between everyone. This alone made the game much more than a shitty licensed game. A couple of problems is that the levels were a little short and that their are unnecessary items you can but in the shop (unless you're an avid completionist, you'll only need like three upgrades from the shop that will actually help you, the rest are there for people who want to 100% the game). Another problem is the weird difficulty spike at Vicky Strikes Back. You'll most likely be blazing through the game like it's nothing then this stage pops up screws up your momentum. It's really irritating and it makes it the worst stage of the game. If your a fan of the series, you would enjoy this game or if you just want to play something that will pass the time, I'd recommend it.
