Learning the process by looping it. Analogue signal, digitally transferred. Noise becomes language.
Captured from a Crown C-600V CRT using a Sony Handycam CCD-TR680E (Hi8) and Zoom H2n (audio). Video transferred to Mac via S-Video capture card. Audio brought in over USB. Compiled in DaVinci Resolve, desaturated, flicker added, and output as looping MP4.
Signal becomes memory. Static becomes motion. Process becomes artefact.

New tool acquired for signal // noise — the Zoom H2n. Will be using this to capture ambient traces, fragments of voice, environmental glitches. Not just recording sound, but mapping dissonance. Static. Silence. Misfires.
Thinking aloud: If Side A is signal, Side B is noise, Side C is reflection… …Side D might just be static. Old analogue snow. A locked groove of absence.
