As of today all Bamboom from Steo Le Panda first era are online.
Get them from gumroad >>Â
But what is a BamBoom ?Â
Take one of Steo Le Pandaâs track, for exemple Pocket. Now group all the drums in one audio file, do the same for the bass, melodies, and voices. You now have 4 audio files that have been be added to an Ableton Liveset ready to play. (Ableton Live can be downloaded here, you donât need to buy it to open the files by the way, and they give you a long trial period).
What is cool and fun is now you can add effects only of the drums if you want! You can also change the length of the voice loop, independently from the other elements. The possibilities are endless!

Looking for a performant audio transpose device in Ableton Live 11
TLDR: I made an audio effect rack that lets you easily transpose audio using native audio effects from Live. You can download it here >>
Transposing a music to another key helps you play two different musics in the same, or compatible, key in order to keep them in harmony.
You can do this by selecting all the notes and moving them up or down by one note (or more). The unit for transposition is Semi-tones, with a supplementary subdivision between two semi-tone in cents.Â
I needed to be able to transpose my music livesets on the fly when playing shows. So I came up with a solution...
Transposing MIDI tracks and Drum Racks is straightforward. For MIDI tracks you just need to add the MIDI effect Pitch. Et voilĂ !
Each slot of the drum rack can also be easily being transposed, using the loaded instrument parameter (usually Simpler).
But for audio tracks, itâs another storyâŚ
You donât have time during a liveshow to select all audio clips in you Session view to be able to use the clip detail view Pitch parameter. And because this one cannot be mapped, you need a faster solution.
There are a few Max For Live that do the job, but they are either commercial, or not updated for Live 11. Also I need something non-destructive and thatâs doesnât add latency.Â
For example Abletonâs Max For Live pack âMax 7 Pitch and Time Machinesâ contains the device Simple Pitch Shifter, but adds 4096 samples of latency or nearly 100ms, thatâs way too much for my use case.
I ended up using Shifter. It doesn't add latency, is a native device (usually better for performance). At first the sound quality doesnât seems as good as Simple Pitch Shifter. But by decreasing the Window Size of Shifter we can get a better result. However by doing so the transposition becomes incorrect, and we must use the Fine parameter to adjust to the correct pitch. For each semitones!
After a lot of tests I decided to use a window size of 13.1ms as it is a very short window time yet has a great sound. I had to manually adjust all the devices using to keep it correct.
Here are the settings for Shifterâs Window of 13.1ms
+6st -74ct
+5st -63ct
+4st -52ct
+3st -41ct
+2st -29ct
+1st -14ct
-1st 14ct
-2st 29ct
-3st 46ct
-4st 63ct
-5st 80ct
-6st 98ct
I then made 6 versions, both for Audio and Midi, each having a fixed range that is convenient for matching two tracks keys. I personally use the +-3st version.
You can download the âAudio 'n Midi Transposeâ folder with other free bundle in Gumroad. (Itâs free, just leave your email so you know next time a new device is added, which is not oftenâŚ).Â

When jamming on the music 303, there was a need for being able to transpose a row of notes (for exemple all A#2) of a midi clip. You can normally do that with your mouse or keyboard, but then when playing live itâs not really sexy.Â
Split Midi enable you to have midi effects affect only a row of notes. All notes have a preset, so you just need to drag on drop.
