Got my ovarian suppression shot, today. I’m so done with these jabs to the gut every month. I know I said I’d rather shove a fork in my eye than to have another surgery, but I think I’m going to request a referral to a gynaecologist about getting a full hysterectomy. It’s been 4 years of these shots. I don’t want to do it anymore. The side effects suck.

I’ve also been dealing with fibroids in my uterus and I believe it’s the cause of my ongoing pelvic pain, bloating and discomfort. I’m so tired of pain. I’ve known a lot of women who have had partial hysterectomies (leaving their ovaries in) and it was an easy peasy recovery.

Anyway, I talk to an oncologist next week. As my situation isn’t urgent, I’m wondering how long this process will take.

I’m on the HandyDart home now. I need to do some cleaning. I’ll probably watch a few more episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale and read my book.
