#zirrok

SO!  Earlier I said I was going to show a shadow version for one of my dragons.  Well, here’s Zirrok’s Shadow (the ice dragon).  Spent a while on this to get it just right.  If you’re curious what shadow dragons are... they are what’s left after a good one has taken sides with the Shadow.  I won’t give a whole lot of information on this yet, because I want to leave some mystery once I start writing the story.  However, Zirrok lives high in rugged, icy mountains and spends a lot of time by himself.  At some point he loses his will to the Shadow and becomes the dark creature in this image.  His mountain home is completely consumed by the “Shadow Realm” shortly after.

Did this scale and color reference for all my dragon characters.  Now it’s much easier to see size differences!  I put a human in at the end for size comparison with Ruby, but there aren’t any humans in the actual story.

Also, I finally had some time to continue redrawing old dragon designs of mine.  Got a few on the way, but for now here’s Zirrok.  He’s an ice dragon so of course he’s got ice abilities and his design includes my favorite colors too!  The one on the left was done WAY back in 2014, five years ago.  Again, perspective was a thing I just didn’t understand then, haha.  The one on the right, I did yesterday.  Overall, I like his new design MILES more than the old one.  I think he’s one of my favorites now.
