Digital publisher Ziff Davis has filed a copyright lawsuit against OpenAI in Delaware federal court, alleging the company unlawfully used its content—like articles from PCMag, IGN, and ZDNet—to train ChatGPT. The suit claims OpenAI exploited copyrighted material without permission, joining a growing list of legal challenges from media outlets and creators. OpenAI maintains its model is trained on public data under fair use. Ziff Davis declined to comment further.
