Do I have any followers from mainland China?
So this is a bit of a long shot, but I'm wondering if anyone here lives/has lived in China and has karaoke as a hobby?
I'm going to be studying in Guilin for about a month in October. I'm wondering how the karaoke systems there work and if I'm likely to find the songs I want to sing. So
1. Do they have song databases like Joysound and DAM that karaoke stores subscribe to? Can you make an account and save your scores/favorite songs? Can you see your saved scores and songs even at other locations?
2. Do they usually have Japanese pop/rock songs? How is the selection? (For that matter, how is the selection of English songs?)
3. The one post I found that mentions cost said it was about $16USD per hour (in Japan it's about $3-8USD/hour depending on when you go). Is this typical or is that including lots of optional food and drinks?
