Became a Martyr

You knew what your death would mean to the world, and sacrificed yourself to make a statement. Your name became a rallying cry for the righteous, and through the influence of your death, you changed the course of history for the better.

OOC: Huh. Not what I would expect. And I don’t think she’d be thinking at all about being a ‘rallying cry for the righteous’ or ‘changing the course of history for the better’. She probably saw something upsetting and went, “Ah. Well. Fuck that.” and sacrificed herself out of spite. Her last words were probably something poetic like  “Fuck you, guy. Looks like that fucked up plan of yours isn’t happening now. Shit. This really fucking hurts.”

Extremely! A very large part of her job revolves around secrets, so she tends to keep people at arms length to avoid any issues. She has her code name and wears a mask when on the job, and typically keeps all of her hideout location information to herself. She never meets a contract hire in person and instead uses a specific delivery system to take jobs.

As far when Phoebe isn’t on the job, she’s typically still full of secrets. No one really knows what she does, unless they fall under her blade. She uses her role as a pirate ship quartermaster to cover her when she’s in Limsa Lominsa, and will blend in anywhere else that she isn’t from. She typically won’t let anyone personally close enough to her, due to risk of betrayal or becoming a target to her enemies. This unfortunately leaves her with few close friends and few romantic interests. She has her reasons though, and hopefully one day it pays off.

Botanical Headcanon Asks ♣ Here ♣

“I take a bite out’ve it. Chew on it. Savor th’taste a while n’spit it back out.” he grunts, reaching for his bottle with a roll of his eyes. 

ooc: This isn’t inaccurate, in a manner of speaking. He very much examines his sadness and his emotions. Not in any clinical way, but when he feels something, he feels it and seeks to understand why. Good things don’t taste quite as sweet if there weren’t bitter memories to keep them so. He wants to understand why he hurt, and then hopefully heal and grow from the experience. 

It’s just the understanding part he gets hung up on, and maybe the sitting down and actually trying. The wash of emotions can sometimes be a bit too much and he’s found numbing the edges down a bit to dull points makes the contemplating a little easier when he finally takes the time to do. Grief and sadness overall, he finds kind of difficult to share and often times while he might express certain things about his lesser moods, he never really touches on their depth.

Grins wickedly as she drinks her rum, “oh I have lots of guilty pleasures, the biggest of all is a certain Ice Haired Snow Cat in the service of the Sultansworn”, she fans herself, cheeks blushed a deep red. “the best part, my only guilt is that I can’t spend even more time with her than I already get to!”

Surfing. I have been thinking of either finding someone that may help teach him or just start learning and wiping himself. 

Appearance-wise, little to nothing changes except that she might be comfortable with wearing a bit less than she'd have to in public. Attitude is more where the differences are, even if they have largely aligned these days.

Not often is it that she's putting up a front of boundless confidence anymore. That fun-loving nature that seems to lack a care in the world. That mask is reserved for if there's no one she knows or trusts around, essentially like a security blanket for her. Which means that she does have those moments where that lack of confidence slips through or uncertainty towards things. Her teasing nature is something that has not been forsaken even if there are those moments that she lets her vulnerabilities show.

In private though it is more noticeable, where she is far more open in her emotions. Letting that box open just a little bit before it weighs her down too far.
