I think there's a difference between greed and like malicious intent (Like to me greed is more "ok well i dont care if it hurts others" where being like straight up malicious intentions is more "I hope it hurts them!!!!") And pulitzer was greedy like he didn't care about others but that's a little better than straight up "Well i hope they die"
And I personally think the whole "They'll work harder" mentality pulitzer uses is very interesting/cool considering that real! pulitzer came from a family that was very rich and then suddenly became very poor, and he worked himself up from that (So that sort of mentality coming from him makes sense in a historical context)
